   Revelations Part 1

"Captain, we're approaching the planet," Lt. Tom Paris stated, <I'm working on a way that Tom gets his promotion  back> tapping a few more keys on the helm console. ' I *hate*  having to work late. I wish the formalities would go by faster so I could go see B'Elanna.'
"Standard orbit, Tom. Harry, open a channel." Captain Janeway stood up and faced the viewscreen. "Onsrceen." The face and torso of a cat-like woman appeared on the viewscreen.  Although she didn't have any shirt on, it wasn't needed. Her tan fur was almost like a tight fit coat to her body and the pointed ears on the top of her head held a ruby crown in place. As the woman began to speak, the pupils of her amber eyes widened and narrowed continuously.
"Greetings, visitors. We are the Kitarians. I am High Priestess Jagana
(Jag-on-a) and you are to be our guests as long as you are here in our
space."
'Blunt and kind. Rare combination, except for my 'Lanna.'
"Thank you for your hospitality, High Priestess. My crew will be
pleased to know that we have somewhat of an ally."
"I would be honored if you and the rest of your senior staff would come to my palace, dine with us and take a small tour later today. Would 1800 hours be good?"
"Sounds wonderful. See you then. Janeway out." The viewscreen returned to its normal view of the planet. "Well everyone, looks like we've got a dinner date."

Jagana turned off the console and tapped the dagger at her side. Her brown leather pants accenting the dagger.
"Wonderful," she thought aloud, "those poor fools won't know what hit
them. You'd think that they wouldn't be easy to lure. Then again, having our ships meet up with Voyager and creating a peace agreement was a pure stroke of genius." Jagana turned towards one of her servants. "You. Get me a glass of Doolian wine. I think the Spirits need some praise for giving us Voyager." They really didn't need Voyager, but the offer of selling it to the Kazon was very appealling. 'Besides, if they prove to be a worthy foe, I still have my secret weapon.' A wicked laugh rang through the chambers of the palace as Jagana humored herself with a private joke.

Unbeknownst to all, in a small corner of the Priestess's room, just
where one could see the console, was a chained Kitarian, stripped of her weapons and honor. Although she was behind the throne of her master, she could still make out the faces on the console. One face stood out from the entire transmission, a lieutenant at helm control.
'I knew it, he's finally come to get me. I know it's been a long time,
but I know it's him. Please Tom, help me.' She unknowingly let out a loud breath which made the Priestess jump, startled. She stood and stared at the girl with cold eyes.
"Well, well, my little outcast has decided to make her presence known.
Do you want to go to the party, too?"
"I-if it pleases you, High Priestess."
"Fine by me. I would jump at the chance to show them their fate. Now
that I've settled the matters at hand, it's time I had some fun." She
took a whip from her side, grabbed the chain that was attached to the girl's neck and yanked her towards the adjacent wall. The outcast cried out in pain as she was slammed to the ground and into a kneeling position.
"Now, Santari, I think that you should be our entertainment for
tonight. Yes, we shall offer a blood sacrifice to them. Ironic that they will serve the same fate in a few weeks."
"No! I won't let you hurt them."
"Insolent reject!" Jagana screamed, "Don't you ever talk back to me!!" The whip she held flew across Santari's back multiple times, each time her cries of pain making Jagana's smile even wider.

Tom walked down the corridor to the mess hall, a spring in his step.
'I can't wait to see B'Elanna. I wonder if we'll do stuff at my place or hers.' As Tom was daydreaming, B'Elanna decided to walk up to him.
Suddenly, Tom felt his stomach lurch, sending a gut-wrenching pain through his torso. His knees began to buckle and he slammed into the wall next to him full force as white light flashed before his eyes. It took him a few seconds to make out what he saw. Flashing before him was the Priestess and a large table set with food. 'The dinner on the planet,'
he thought as the table began to fade. The last image he saw almost made him cry out in horror. He saw himself holding B'Elanna with a dagger in her stomach and a pool of blood surrounding them. As the image began to bear, he heard a voice speak to him. The voice was feminine, kind but demanding and strangely, familiar.
"You cannot be with B'Elanna. If you care about her, you must stay away. A cloud of death has been hung over you. I'm sorry." As soon as the voice had finished speaking the images were gone and B'Elanna was rushing up to him.
"Tom!  Tom, are you alright?" Tom began to realize that he was back in
the corridor as B'Elanna began to shake his arm.
"Uh...yeah! I'm fine. Must have been something I ate."
'That's it. That couldn't have been real.'
     "Are you sure?"
"Yeah. I'm fine. By the way, are you coming to the planet's big party
they've got for us?"
     "Are you?"
"Probably, after I take some Tums and a nap."
"Then so am I. See you later, 'Helmboy.'" B'Elanna began to walk in the direction of the mess hall, still concerned about Tom. 'I know that wasn't indigestion, so what's he hiding?'
