MILESTONES
           ...Lucena City Association delivered 10 door to door boxes of canned goods, medical supplies and clothings to the stricken areas in the Infanta, General Nakar and Real area. The disaster in the area has affected all walks of life, farms are made useless by the mud slides, business establishments had been devastated,.people had been left with no property and worse no jobs to support their family. To answer the call of the poor  the association  pledged the needed funds to help the self help "LIVELIHOOD PROJECT" whereas families will be given training and supplies to be able to start their own little business. ...
The Mission Continues...  a fund raiser was announced  early this year. The Latin Night will be co-chaired by Manny Abellanosa and Rolly Vallena. The dou, well known to the community for their dancing skills will head  the event to raise funds for the projects of the  associations. For more info contact any of the board of directors.....

Let's raise funds for the poor and the needy



EDUCATIONAL MISSION will once again be the focus of the association. The association pledge to fund the mission with the proceeds from the Latin Night event... the association has embarked into a mission that will help our Poor and Needy Students.

The association promised to fund over a hundred School Chairs and Desks for the Impoverished schools in Lucena City.

In cooperation with the PHILIPPINE CONSULATE the association will fund a new two-Classroom Building in the grounds of the Quezon National High School.

June 2004 .. Lucena City Association of Ontario received  the prestigious MOST OUTSTANDING FILIPINO-CANADIAN AWARD 2004 on August 14th, 2004 at the International Plaza. This award will be a tribute to the dedicated and hard working officers and members of the association. Jun Enverga the president will also receive an individual  Most Outstanding Filipino-Canadian Award.  Jun Enverga and the association was awarded previously as the Most Outstanding Canadian 2001 by the Prime Minister and Most Outstanding Filipino-American Quezonian 2003 an award signed by the Governor of New Jersey.
