| ABOUT US.... The Wairarapa Orchid Circle has membership of around 100 of the most friendly & helpful people you're likely to meet. The Circle was founded 23 years ago & has thrived since that time. We have a monthly meeting which is held at the Senior Citizens (not that I'm saying most of our members are senior) starting at 1.00 p.m on the first Sunday of every month. We generally have a Guest Speaker, or some form of demonstration etc at each meeting & also a display of members plants that they may have in flower. Even if I do say so myself, the range & quality of plants displayed would have to be amongst the best in the country, but then I suppose I'm bias, aren't I! We strive to encourage our newer & novice members wherever we can & the weekend after our main meeting there is a "Practical get together" held where anyone can attend & get a few pointers from some of our more advanced members. If you are visiting our area at all on the day of the Meeting, pop along, you'll be made to feel most welcome. |
