HOW I CAME TO WRITE "MACEDONIAN REVELATION"

My name is Vasil (Vic) Bogov and I was born in 1937 in what is now the Aegean part of Macedonia. The once great Macedonia was carvet up in the early 20th century according to the wishes of the dominant European powers of the day. They saw to it that with the demise of the Ottoman Empire the new geo-political boundaries of Europe would not include a Macedonian nation, instead, it would include an expanded Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria. No one saw the need to ask the Macedonians what they wanted.

During the civil (or political) war in Greece between 1946 and 1949 life was hard and terrible for all, especially for the children. We witnessed the bombardment of willages which did nothing more than try to grow enough food for the following winter. We also witnessed atrocities and acts of barbarism on fellow human  beings which shattered our understanding of what it meant to be a human being. It was from such that i alomg with more than 28.000 children left our homeland as refugees and were dispersed among various easterm and central European countries. I went to Hungary where i completed my primary schooling and then studied in a technical college in Budapest where i graduated with a cerificate in mechanical engineering.

Since 1954 i have been living in Australia. In 1977 my wife Dotsa and i went to Europe on a holiday and it was in London that we saw the Wellington Monuments and noticed the inscription "Macedonian Dardanells 1914-1918". In Rome we saw maps of marble showing the Roman Empire and still visible from the Adriatic Sea in the west and up to the Black Sea the Macedonian Dardanelles in the east was Macedonia.

Even though the Great Powers re-drew the political boundaries of the Balkans to serve their interests and in the process divided the Macedonian peaple, they could not sabotage our history. The purpose of this book is, therefore, to bring to light the history of Macedonia and its Macedonian people through the use of documentary evidence.
