Seldom in history can a people be found with such a dramatic destiny, which has undergone so many bitter sufferings, which has experienced all the horrors of slavery and abuses of conquerors great and small.However, now modern history is often writen to order by politicians, and therefore, history is haphazard and vague in their conception and contests, so that they are devoid of historical character, they are rather of a political nature.It is, moreover,true to say, that from the middle of the 19th century, and up to this moment, there has not been written in any language, an UNBIASED, and as far as is humanly possible-a true history of Macedonia. Even though hundreds, if not thousands, of books and papers have been published for that region, hardly any would convinced the reader of the Macedonian sincerity, especially from that great Christian era. Nevertheless, visible records of those far-off times of the Macedonian people, remains in the ruins of those ancient Christian churches, and remote monasteries.For folklore, culture, literature, and Christian religion, Macedonia has left irreversible tracks in human history.There is no other people that has such a glorious record, or real legendary heroes, that has shed so much blood for its freedom, as the Macedonian people.
