MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis
93min; 1994
Rated: Germany 12 (approx. equivalent to PG-13)

Plot Summary:
MacGyver and his former college professor are first hunting some artifacts attributed to Zenon, an ancient scientist from Atlantis. Due to the professor's growing obsession with the lost city, they later hunt for Atlantis itself.

Film Quality:
If you have ever seen an episode of MacGyver, which I am sure you have, then you won't be surprised at the way this movie was made. The producers kept to the theme of the television series very well, and to me, "Lost Treasure of Atlantis" just seems like one long (very good) episode. The computer animation is terrible as usual, but hey, it's fun to laugh at!

MacGyverisms:
I expected very few to none, because in the later seasons of the television series, MacGyver hardly performs any. There were, however, numerous MacGyverisms performed throughout. One scene was particularly anger-stimulating, because MacGyver got into a situation that looked impossible to get out of. As the scene proceeds and suspense builds up, I became very interested in seeing how he would escape. Unfortunately, the writer did not know how either and cut away from that scene to a scene taking place five years later.

Overall Rating: 3.2 of 4
