Restaurants,
Bars, and the like
1: Noble
Savage Taveren. A nice pub that has an excellent selection of drinks
and food, if a bit on the pricey side. Often has blues, rock, and
folk bands playing as well as darts and pool. Rarely a cover charge,
and its open for all ages. Located on Texas Street across from the
downtown library.
2: Keeping
with the blues, Tommy's Place on Marshall is fairly decent. The bands
are normally good and the drinks are reasonably priced. Cover is
usually $3 - $5. On Marshall St. across from the fun shop.
3: The Venue.
New place in Bossier City. Strictly live bands. We'll check
it out soon and post more info.
4: Southpaws
on the river front is one of the downtown strip clubs that often has local
and national acts playing. Cover varies according to band, and drink
prices are about standard for the location.
5: Mojo's.
Granted its a downtown bar, and we normally dont go for the whole scene
down there, but its not a bad place really. Moderatly priced and
usually fairly quiet. The best part is my old friend Mike behind
the bar. Be sure to watch him mix a few.. its worth the price.
Located on Texas St. at the foot of the neon bridge.
