The weekend of 24the 25th May, 2003 saw the Clan Mackenzie gather in the South Island town of Ashburton. Around 100 members made there way there, venturing from Invercargil, Auckland, and even someone from Australia.
The Ashburton Branch had made a beautiful job of decorating the hall.
The evening dinner and ceilidh began with the traditional piping in of the haggis.
The Young Pipers of Ashburton entertained us before lunch.
