Nice page John. The mp3 files are enjoyable.
I joined the ranks of Gibson pipe owners this year and the sound is fabulous. These drones would give new meaning to Jimmy McIntosh's CD titled "Let the pipes sing". Combined with the Shepherd (Gibson design) BW Chanter, the balance is perfect. I use Wy
ent Synth-drones and Megarity-Ross, Johnstone and Donald McPhee chanter reeds with equaly good results. All chanter reeds are made easier, to suit my preference, using the McIntosh method of reed adjustment. Love my Gibsons!

Hey John, pretty interesting site. The correct for the band is the TORONTO POLICE PIPE BAND and although the personnel of the current band is not identical to those who cut the CD, the band never folded, simply was restructured, with some of those member
still playing.
The CD is very available and anyone wishing to purchase a copy can contact me at the above "E" Mail address.

John: I've been trying to find a copy of this CD, - On the Beat, for quite some time. I'm an older, newbie with the pipes. When I bought pipes much to my instuctors chagrin, they were GIBSON Firesides in Bb. I have, SFUPB - ALIVE in AMAERICA and have enjo
ed their Fireside pipe conga/pipe duet. So finding this page with Track 2-Hector the Hero and Track 7 was a real bonus. Many thanks. Slainte! Stewart Paterson

John, Do you still do workshops?
I read about Mauve's comments and the benefits
you brought to their band.
Could you do the same for us?
