Easy life ain’t so easy for me
Thank gGod I’m not working in a factory
Piss life away if I could
And my Mama always told me I would
At age 15 I was your average kid
I got into trouble like the other ones did
And have a toke when I could
But my Mama never quite understood
(Chorus1)
She musta told me a million times
Put down that stick before you put out your eye
Clean underwear and a good attitude
Do your homework and eat all your food
Off on my own I thought I’d give it a whack
I thought someday that I would surely come back
And I knew that I should
Cuz my Mama aways told me I could
At age 35 and a 9 ta 5 job
I’m just your average,everyday slob
Go back to school if I could
Cuz my Mama always told me I should
(chorus2)
Always there to lend me a hand
She got me out of so many jams
I used to think that I knew it all
But what I ate for breakfast I can’t recall
(repeat chorus1)
