This song introduced me to Rammstein. I was watching the music videos on MTV, pretty much bored and not really expecting anything big and amazing to happen to me. Well, it did anyway.
Back in high school I was starved for rock. I didn't know about Nirvana or the Smashing Pumpkins. All I knew was that I liked rock music, but I didn't really have any. Then I saw Rammstein on TV. I'd already heard of them from German class (of all places) where one of the students had been listening to it, and even let our teacher (the ever-cool Frau Roesberry) listen to it. Well, I heard what he was playing, and decided that it kicked ass. But I didn't really think about it again until I saw it on MTV.
Many good bands, like the Smashing Pumpkins, sadly don't have music videos that are as cool as their songs. Rammstein's music videos always kick ass, and this one is no exception.
It features all sorts of good stuff: guns, violence, robbing banks, more guns, and of course the awesome Rammstein gang (actually, it's a pretty big band, but I won't hold that against them. Well, not much).
My favorite parts:
Richard catches some chick about to hit the alarm, so he hits it with her.
Christoph (or is it Oliver?) tearing open his shirt to reveal the target, as if saying "Shoot me! I dare ya!"
Them all grinning as they hit the dirt, knowing the bomb's about to explode.
