Welcome to Macrina's Window
Windows are openings to life. If you come to my window I would like for you to find a blessing that will enrich your life. A poem, a quote or a prayer, the discovery of a good book to read, or a movie that will be like a window to new life ~ perhaps an invitation to attend one of my retreats.
My home is in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I belong to a community of monastic women of the Roman Catholic tradition. We follow the rule of St. Benedict with the gospel as our guide. In addition to my writings, part of my ministry is leading retreats. In my retreats I try to lead you to the window of your heart. I want you to look through that window and see the gifts you have been given and recognize your potential to assist in the healing of our world.
Each evening, I will light a candle for everyone who has come to my window.
My prayer for you is that you always strive to be a deep well of refreshment for others, a window of hope for the world.
Wherever you live or travel please try to spend at least five minutes each day just looking out the window. Then spend another five minutes looking into the window of your soul.
