MONTE CAPUTO
Michalis Hadjiyiannis has represented Cyprus at the annual '1998 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST' that was held this year in England. His song 'Genesis' ranked 11th amongst a total of 25  songs. He's depicted here singing during the finals' competition that took place at 'Monte Caputo' night club in Limassol, Cyprus. 
 
MICHALIS HADJIYIANNIS
MICHALIS WITH A GUITARMichalis was born on the 1st of January 1978, in Nicosia Cyprus. His family are refugees, originally from Kyrenia, a town which now is under Turkish occupation. In 1994, he won the first price at a 'young talents' show names "Afediries" on the state TV. In 1995,  Michalis, merely 16 years old, gave his first concert. During the same year, he released his first CD single called 'GRAMMA' ("LETTER"). The next year his first CD was released, entitled "SENARIO". Two more CDs were released since then. The first one in 1997 was called "Michalis Hadjiyiannis sings Doros Georgiades" while in early 1998 'Anonymon Patridon' ('Anonymous Homelands'),  produced and promoted by the Armenian National Committee of Cyprus.
