Maitri is a project, for the family members of the mentally ill, founded by a group of concerned individuals in Jan. 1999.
It has facilitated support groups for the families and the patients suffering from Schizophrenia. It also conducts workshops with different target groups in the city on issues related to mental health.
It is also involved in advocacy issues concerning the welfare and the rights of the mentally ill.
Maitri is also a resource group facilitating training, research and consultancy to various agencies working in the field of mental health and other allied issues.
The activities of 'Maitri are funded through personal donations in cash, cheque and kind. All contributions in cheque can be addressed to - 'Maitri, Mumbai'. |
