CLOCK GAME: Hour and half-hour
.
To Play:
Using a die numbered 1,2,3,1,2,3. Roll the die and move the approriate spaces.
Show the time on the clock (hands need to be added) and turn the arrow on the second circle (arrows need to be added) to indicate hour or half hour.
If correct stay on this spot. If incorrect move back to the last full hour.

Suggestions for coloring the clock game... use three different colored markers.
Yellow = Color of start and finish and the clock.
Green = Color of every hour oval and the top half of the "12 o'clock" hour circle.
Magenta = Color of every half-hour oval and the bottom half of the (half hour) "thirty 6" circle.
This help children learn quickly that 6:00AM = hour (o'clock) and 6:30AM = half-hour (thirty).

Suggestions for making hands/arrows:
Try using plastic from milk jugs or a thin plastic or even heavy cardboard. Attach with a paper fastener/brad.
Also I suggest using regular markers or colored pencils to color in games. Permanent markers bleed in time, as do washable markers. To add strength to your games laminate or use clear contact paper. This also helps when you need to clean off little smudges from little fingers :o)
One last tip: (this comes from Mary- the Game Lady)  Use rubber cement to adhear your games to file folders! It gives you time to work with the paper to fit it to folder and excess just rubs off once dry!
