" False Friend "

I've searched the whole world over for a very special friend... One that was true blue; could break but never  bend. I found instead a deceiver, but I did not know that then.

I was so very happy for I'd found something precious, a rare person to behold... I did not know at that point that their heart was black as coal.

Disillusion came so quickly, it caught me unaware. The razor's edge was sharp and and for it, there was no time to prepare.

The shock was so defeating, violated I had been... My trust is gone forever, my heart will never mend. For  the special friend I had found, turned out to be an enemy in the end.
