Amanda Carneiro grew up in Bridgeport, CT and now lives in Los Angeles via New York City.

Amanda has had much success in independent films. Most notably, Amanda shot the film, "Red Passport," with Sharon Angela ("The Sopranos") and Frank Medrano ("Shawshank Redemption"), where she played the disillusioned, sarcasstic, and angry daughter of Sharon Angela's character. "Red Passport" has already traveled to over 36 film festivals - mostly international - and recently won the Audience Award at the LeCinemaFe Film Festival in New York and Best Director at the Boston Latino Film Festival. "Red Passport" was released to DVD on August 1st, 2006.

The journey to and in Los Angeles has been an exciting and interesting one for Amanda. Besides attempting to get on her feet in the new city, Amanda has had great success with her acting career. Since her move, she has booked numerous short films and the feature independent film, "Hormones," where she plays a sarcasstic and jaded 17 year old high school student, who quickly learns all about young love.
