Commander Bonaparte
	Commander Bonaparte was the commander of the Alliance's Middle East troops, and he distrusted Zechs and the Specials. He hated to see lives wasted, and thought that the Specials were engaging themselves in meaningless battles simply to show off. When he was asked to defend the Corsica base from an impending Gundam attack, he thought he could show up the Specials by fighting without sacrificing soldiers. Sadly, the Gundams proved too strong for his men, and Specials officer Walker had to lead a group of Aries into battle to hold off the Gundams while Bonaparte and his men retreated. All of Walker's men, as well as Walker himself, were killed. Bonaparte, however, escaped unscathed. Or, at least, not dead. His final words to the Specials martyrs were 'Forgive me.' Most likely, Bonaparte's feelings towards the Specials changed followiing these events. So, imagine his surprise only a short while later when the Specials began attacking Alliance bases, killing Alliance soldiers, and generally trying to take over the world. Confusion, hypocrisy...the same Specials who were, mere weeks before, were giving up their lives for him. Amusing historical note: Napoleon Bonaparte, the Emperor of France at the beginning of the 19th century, was born on the island of Corsica.
