previous day's entry April 19, 2002 next day's entry
Hey...

Today, my dad comes out of the hospital. He went there on Saturday last week. Turned out he had gallstones, and he had surgery to remove them. The hospital people were nice enough to return my dad's gallstones. I dd not know that they looked so much like sharp seeds.

Lately, I've been addicted to Asterix Mega Madness (does anyone else have that game?), and when my little sister's at dance practice (for the party mentioned in the entry yesterday) I fiddle around with her computer, trying to beat her high scores. She's only 8, but she's beaten all the high scores I had previously made. Jesus.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO SAY?

Oh, our neighborhood. We live in a subdivision. It's fairly big, and it's one in a maze of other complexes. The nice thing about living on our street is that it's a dead end, so we can bike and skateboard and everything, unlike when you live on the main road.

I don't have any 'real' friends in our subdivision. I've got 'acquaintances,' yes. But not friends. Although they used to be. When I was a lot younger, I mean. I guess puberty got in the way of our friendships, and relationships other than mutual ones wrecked whatever bondage we had.

(April 27, 2002

Due to all the negative reactions my friends had on what I wrote, I am altering all that. I'll try and stick to the positive side of them. THERE, AKA PEOPLE, HAPPY NA KAYO?!?!?!?!?)

We formed some sort of organization on our street last summer. We called it AKA, also known as Apollo Kids' Organization. We live on Apollo Drive. Really, I swear. The main purpose was to bond and do 'barkada' stuff all summer long, and get closer. SO let me tick off all the org.'s associates.

There's Andrew. He's technically the president of our little club. I think we unanimously voted him president because after we play out on the streets, we'd crash at his house, raid his kitchen, and trash the entire place. He's attempting to make a website about us, and being an alleged friend of his, I promised to help. The site, if it ever gets up, is supposed to be about the AKA. And he'll post pictures of everyone on our street, so in case you want to see my picture (I suggest that you don't, though. it's proven to scare mice and roaches), head over there. *Shrug* And when it gets up, I'll link there. Back to Andrew. He looks kinda like Harry Potter. Glasses and everything. He enjoys making my life hell, and only seems to notice that I'm around when he needs help with something. Makes great fanart, too. He's a nice guy.

And Guada, Andrew's cousin. She makes up the artisti-funky-60's part of our group. She's not wild, but her fashion sense is. She's sorta like Andrew's babysitter, for disclosed reasons. Andrew's mad enough at me already. I don't need to go exposing his darkest secrets. There isn't much to be said about her. Except that she's friendly, has a wack sense of style (yet cool) and she loves cooking and hates swimming.

I only put the two of them because they're about the most interesting characters on the street. No offense to anyone from Apollo Drive who reads this. The rest, quick ennumeration: Monay, Serg, Yuri, and Drei (the 3 are brothers), Paolo, Jo, Ate Alet, Sasha, Sam, Migs, Dianne, Ate Noni, Jessie, Rence, Ate Haydee, Joey...you're all great. Thanks for coloring my life. All of you AKA PEOPLE! (How jologs...) Did I miss anyone, Andrew? Guada?,

(A/N: Got a load off my back! Whew! Also, I publicly apologize to all people insulted by my previous entries. SORRY NA, HA? Skirmishes aside...)

Then there's this surprise birthday party my parents are hosting for my grandmother, because she's turning 75 tomorrow.

My grandmother's a tough old lady. She's just about defeated her fight with cancer, yet she still wakes up at 5 in the morning and walks (not drive)  to the sports complex a few blocks away from her house. And that's every day of the week. Plus, she likes ballroom dancing and hates parties. But she DOES go to parties with ballroom dancing. Weird. I admire her for being a strong woman, especially after my grandfather (her husband) died a couple of years ago.

So, jaa ne for now.
