The CJ6 as it arrived from South Dakota. We thought we were getting a Jeep. It turns out they sent us a chicken coop instead. |

Looking better already. Once we pulled the top and the goofy looking plywood box off, it started looking more like a Jeep. |
Here is the CJ6 with half the lift kit installed. New leaf springs, bushings, shocks, and wheels are making it look a little more updated, and a little more functional. |

Here it is in all it's lifted glory. With it's new 33 inch tires it is almost ready to hit the road. We need to do something about the rusted away rear body mounts first. It is a little pigeon toed in the front, so we'll need to adjust the alignment. |

Here is an altered CJ6. Eventually ours will be at least as good looking as this one. |
Upcoming plans for the CJ6 Buy CJ5 body and stretch to fit CJ6 frame. Build and install roll cage Install new front and rear seats, complete with seatbelts. Paint Job! Possibly the original seafoam green color the Jeep was when it was produced in 1962 For now we will be keeping the original engine and 3 speed transmission, as well as the axles. Eventually these will be updated, but if it ain't broke, why fix it. |
