CAN'T WE JUST BE FRIENDS This First Story is about an ogre who fell in a lovespring when he was young.  He has spent his entire life looking for a friend with disasterous results. This story won fourth prize in the Hinkley/Mayhew Short Story Contest.

IT'S NOT EASY BEING DEAD The second story is about a boy that comes to discover that he has died.  The experience is not at all what he had expected.  I won an honorabe mention with this story in another contest.

THE SMELL OF JUSTICE    I added this story to the site, but in my opinion it still needs a little work.  I will put up a notice if I find time to make any drastic changes.  This story hasn't won me any money, but I like it (I hope I'm not the only one).

SWEET DREAMS This is the first story I ever wrote.  It's about a very lasy islander who ends up saving the day.

TO COUNT OR NOT TO COUNT IF you enjoy stories about stupid cavemen, you'll love this one.  Goob, the hero of this narritive, discovers how to count.  His ingenuity ends up getting him in more trouble than his feeble mind can handle.

MONSTER TAUNTING I have written several different versions of this story.  It is about a very powerful monster imprisoned in a dark cave.  It has a plan for escape . . .  It just needs someone gullible enough to open the door.
