I have learned that there is not a standard in beauty, everyone is beautiful in their own way. I also learned about self mutilation and why they do what they do. They really do not know how to cope with their emotions. They would rather feel the physical pain that the emotional pain. Harming your body is a way to be temporarily distracted from real feelings. This is a quote that I thought pertained to my character.. "I stopped thinking about dying and more about just being so hurt that everything in my world would have to stop, that me being injured or unconscious would make everyone leave me alone, make my mom nice to me." |
