Merlin - the newest addition to my family. |
Merlin entered my family in September, a month after Molly Moon disappeared. He was a cheer-up present from my boyfriend. With Molly's absence there was an opening in my household (as I saw it) to rescue another cat. Merlin is just what I was looking for: A big male tom-cat. I last had two tiny females. He was 2 already when we rescued him from a near-by pet shelter. I didn't want another kitten to train. |
Merlin's name was re-established when he enetered my home. He came with the previous name of Yoda. Does this look like a Yoda? No! My sister tried to tell me I couldn't change his name because he wouldn't recognize it, so I played with similar sounding names. Nobody would let me call him Jehovah though (which esculated to jokes about calling him "Father Son and Holy Ghost". Very ludicrous names for a cat.) He did catch on to his new name and fits it perfectly! If you look under his top coat Merlin's fur is silver. And he doesn't shut-up. It's mer-mer-mer all day. He's very chatty, and it sounds like "mer". So we lovingly call him Mer-mer (mur-mur). |
