| Inside my head So trying to direct you to my place in this complex issue I feel as if I need to point out some of the possible other reasons men dress. I don’t like to pigeon hole people so please understand there is over lap in some individuals 1 Men who feel they are female on the inside just born with the wrong outward signs, often wish to live fulltime as females, strong desire to undergo gender reassignment surgery and hormones. Goals include living and working as a woman, relationship with a straight man that may lead to a fulfilling female wife role and to be loved. Terms associated with this aspect are Transsexual and Transgender or TS/TG. True TS/TG would not consider themselves gay men. However they may consider themselves to be a gay woman if they are attracted to other females and may be attracted to other TS/TGs and also non-TS/TG transvestites out of conveyance by meeting in gay clubs etc. 2 Men who are gay deep down and want to have sex with other men may dress female to hide their true feelings. By pretending to be female they are more able to cope with and express their desires to be with men. This is often counterproductive as other gay men will be attracted to well? men. So often will result in hart ache. However if two like-minded gay cross dressers hit it off then happiness could result. Drag Queens are typical examples usually highly extravert in personality and love the attention. 3 Men who dress as women for strong sexual reasons, often linked to fetishisms. Resulting dressing usually resembles a caricature of some female role/style. Eg hooker, schoolgirl, maid, little girl, dominatrix, Often men in this group do very little about their appearance other than the items of clothing, so in general will be over weight, hairy, and only interested in the sexual gratification they get form the feel of silk, satin, lace, rubber, pvc, leather etc. 4 Men who take on female appearance for making money in the sex industry often terms used include shemale and ladyboy. These men will under go breast implants and cosmetic surgery to improve their female image, but typical not under go penis removal which is the “tool” of their trade. [So here I am trying to explain why I need to dress as a woman. This is why I dress not necessarily why other men dress in female items of clothing.] 5. Lastly this is the group I belong to, transvestites, cross dressers TV/CD. Some men dress temporarily as females and to try and behave as female as possible within there own sexual preferences. Mannerisms, styles and fashion, fabrics, make up, shoes, hand bags, perfume, underwear, female magazines, girly chats, dancing, even shopping and doing housework are all high on the lists of these men. This group dress to relax, unwind, they love not having to act big and strong. Some find relief from having to make decisions in important jobs or for wife’s and families. Being a woman for a while allows men to preen and pamper them selves, enjoy clothing styles, fabrics and colours that would be impossible in their real positions. Crying is also possible when dressed as a woman, the urge to have true female (or TV friends), like women do, is often craved. Men in this group do not always dress for sexual reasons, but many will admit to some times using their female persona for relief of sexual tension, Kind of being their own ideal woman. This group often get moody and depressed if they can’t dress and go to extreme lengths to indulge themselves whilst keeping things secret. They will sometimes be over come with guilt and in an attempt to purge themselves will dump clothing collections built up over many years at some cost, always to return to dressing. These transvestites often are happily married with children and make good loving husbands and fathers. Faithfulness being one strong female trait that many transvestites possess, that and the need to be loved. Ideally would like acceptance form their wife’s or girlfriends but fear or losing loved ones is why dressing is often done in secret. |
