Let me get the "sappy stuff" out of the way here. Matt and I met this past May at a martial arts seminar in Pembroke, hosted by our friend and instructor, Dave Gibb. At the time, I was not the least bit interested in a relationship, and apparently he wasn't either. Fate however, has a funny way of bringing people together and changing their perspectives, that is exactly what happened to us. We began to keep in touch after meeting at the seminar....despite the fact that we did not even say a word to one another there. I could not get his face out of my mind and became quickly enamoured with this incredibly kind, talkative and fun-loving guy!! We got to know each other rather well, we spent night after night just talking, and when we finally agreed to get together and do some training, well I just fell for him. He treats me like a lady, supports me through my tough times, makes me laugh, listens when I need a friend, and loves me just the way I am. I have never felt more complete in my life.
Matt is an incredibly intelligent man with a multitude of talents, ranging from journalism and photography to his exptertise in learning martial arts and racing motorcycles. He is wise beyond his years, strong in spirit, yet humble in his ways. He is the most decent guy one could ever hope to meet and I am proud to call myself his girlfriend. |
