Chopin was born in Poland on 1/3/1810 and died in Paris on 17/10/1849.
Chopin's father was a French and lived in Poland for many years. His mother was a daughter of a Polish noble family.
Chopin loved piano music very much and he started his piano lesson at his age of 6. He performed in a public concert when he was 8 years ofd. He first published his work, rondo, when he was 15. At his 17, he became a famous pianist and composer in Warsaw (the capital of Poland).
Chopin gave 2 concerts in Vienna when he was 19. In 1830, the Russian czar put Warsaw under harsh military rule. He decided to go to Paris and spent his rest of life there. He died from tubercuosis at his age of 39.
