Draft
This is an idea I borrowed from FanExFootball,
where we draft a roster with no maintenance to be allowed at anytime.
We will use the IYDFFL scoring system, except the defensive rules will
be different (differences will be noted by a "*"):
Throwing a forward pass for a TD | 4 pts |
All other TD's | 6 pts |
Safety* | 4 pts |
FG | 3 pts |
Kick for EP | 1 pt |
Sack* | N/A |
Fumble Recovery* | N/A |
Interception* | 1 pt |
Shutout (meaning zero on the scoreboard) | 9 pts |
Final authority on stats will be the Associated Press box scores. |
Yardage Points
Passing | 1 pt for every 40 yards |
Rushing | 1 pt for every 20 yards |
Receiving | 1 pt for every 20 yards |
Position | QB | RB | WR | TE | K | Team |
Minimum | 2 | 3 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 1 |
Maximum | 3 | 5 | 6* | 3 | 2 | 2 |
*This is different from last year's rules which allowed only 5.
The players you draft will be yours throughout the year. There will be no free agents, no trades, and no setting of lineups.
How Lineups are Determined.......
Your lineup will consist of 1 QB, 2 RB,
3 WR*, 1 TE, K, and 1 Team (* note change from regular IYDFFL rules).
Each week after the games are final, I will go through your roster and
select the best real-deal performers, who will be inserted into your lineup
until every slot is filled. The rest is just fantasy football.
Draft
We will conduct an e-mail draft with a 24-hour
limit. I suggest anyone who wishes to participate should pick a partner
who can take over when you are in a jam, or even if you just want to collaborate.
The teams will be designated by the last name of the owner(s). I
would like to start next week. Think of it as a fantasy draft tune-up.
