Here are some of my experiences with what some may call the paranormal. Some people may just think I am nuts after reading this. Well dont feel bad because sometimes I think I'm nuts too! Things happen to me so often, I should start writing my own true-life X-Files show or something! Grandmother and The Gift: My grandmother was a medium who had esp and whom I saw (with my own eyes) open a freezer lid by just looking at it! She taught me many things and I suppose that is where I get this "supposed" gift from (sure as HELL doesn't seem like a gift to me). Well I don't have enough room to share ALL my experiences with you peoples, so, I'll just highlight a few things that have happened to me and try to update it from time to time. Visions/Flashes: Well, for starters, I remember starting to have little visions or flashes when I was about 8 or 9, but I did have a few experiences before that. I had premonitions of tiny things. Just your everday experiences like I dreamed of a car accident that happened in my front yard the next day. Also lots of feelings of deja vu and telling my friends that I thought had strong feelings when something was about to happen to them. Grandfather: When I was around 9, I saw my dead grandfather in his house walking through a door. Don't ask about that one, because its kinda an embarassing story seeing as how I was using the bathroom and his "ghost" floated through the door. Needless to say, I got the hell outta there. Grandmother: Then, a few months after my grandmother died, I got a telephone call from her. It was such a normal chit-chat conversation that I didn't realize that I was talking to a dead person until I hung up. (by the way, mom if you read this, I'm sorry I never told you. You were in the shower and I knew that you wouldn't believe me and that it would only upset you. She asked for you and told me to tell you she called. Glad I finally got this off my chest.!) UFO's/Aliens: I've seen more than one UFO. At a former residence, I was experiencing missing time, wierd lights in the window, strange ear aches, paralyzation, and other little signs that would indicate that I have been abducted. (I'm not saying I have been, I can't say that for sure, but SOMETHING fishy was going on--UPDATE: Dan seems to think that all that was a NightHag/Psychic Vampire Experience) I've seen some crop circles, oddly enough they were near some Indian Mounds!?! Which, I've heard some pretty wierd things there, It also gives off a VERY unwelcome vibe. Wounded Dog: About a year and a half ago, we brought home a wounded dog, and kept it in the house the first few nights. The next day there was tiny bite marks on my breast, which is STILL unexplained to me since I didn't feel anything. During the time we had the dog, my husband was plagued with nightmares about a vampire and one night I saw a light in the doorway. Well, not really a light, more like some kind of ball of energy. Another odd thing is that Dan was the person who wanted to bring the dog home which is COMPLETELY out of character for him. It's like the thing had a strange power over us. I can't really explain any of that. If anyone else can, then PLEASE tell me!!!! Dan also thinks this has something to do with a psychic vampire/nighthag. *shrugs* Helicopter?/Lights?: 2-2-99 I had an experience I would like to share...I had another wierd feeling . It was late at night and I woke up (for no apparent reason). I heard something that sounded like a helicopter. I laid awake and waited for it to pass, but it didn't. Then, under my bedroom door, light flooded in. The helicopter sound continued for quite a while and when it stopped, the light went away. Needless to say, I had a hard time getting back to sleep. I'm sure this one could be logically explained...but it was still spooky as hell. Ouija Boards: When I was in about 8th or 9th grade, my friends and I had a sleepover and we played around with a ouija board. I asked it the middle name of my dead grandmother and it answered correctly (noone could have known that) and then my friend heather and someone else was using the board. The thing started claiming it was her dead cousin who had committed suicide the year before. The "spirit" started blaming her for it and saying that she wasnt there for him and stuff. She got really upset and then it started threatening harm to her and then to it said it would kill her boyfriend. Well we found out the next day he had been in a car accident the night before. Coincidence? maybe. Anyway, the next morning we were goofing around with it and we were asking it dumb questions like "is elvis alive" and "is he in the room with us" and the thing stopped answering so we got up to leave the room and the oracle slid across the board and flew onto the floor by itself! I don't mess with those anymore! The Bird in the House: Summer of 1999-One afternoon I was on the computer in the living room and I got up to go to the bathroom. As I walked into the hall, I saw a bird fly out of the guest bedroom and down the hallway towards me. I ran into the kitchen and panicked (of course). I wondered how it got into the house and then when I finally calmed down, I couldn't find the thing. Well, I assumed it had found its way outside. The next day it happened again. I almost always saw it in the hall and I ALWAYS saw it when I was alone but it continued for about a week. Upon searching each time, Dan nor I could find the damn thing. I had this instinctive feeling that it had something to do with the letter I got from Psycho-Robin (see misc. pic section)...we had suspected her of being into witchcraft or something of that sort. I suppose there could be a logical reason for this but I think this time I will follow my instincts and they tell me it was her! (any other explanations would be greatly appreciated) The Factory Ghost: There is an abandoned factory behind the house. This was the site of our "haunted house" for Halloween. Little do the unsuspecting souls know that a few of the things I told them on the tour was true! Behind the factory is where i saw a transparent man staring at me with his arms crossed! A friend of mine saw it too at a party a few weeks after halloween. He was a frisky guy during halloween because we had everything set up on one side of the trail to the woods and there was something running and walking beside us on the OTHER side during the tours. The friend who saw him said there are two children ghosts living inside the factory also. I saw my dog sit down on a couch inside the factory and lay his head in an invisible lap so I'm wondering about her kid theory myself! 4-6-2000: When Dan and I got into bed last nite, there was a shadow hovering over the doorway and I thought it was just your average run-of-the-mill, shadow. Then it moved from that spot until it rested right over dan's chest. It just hovered there and and I put my hand right thru it and it sorta "parted" like smoke or something. I told dan and he grabbed some amethyst for protection. Then I freaked out and turned the light on. The end. 6/2000-Lots of weird things happening at the factory. Some poltergueistish activity....lights going on and off, musical equipment being moved, and my music stand just fell over one day in the middle of practice. My friend, Toni says it was the kids (see above) up to mischief! That's all I have for now but check back for updates! |
