The Friday the 13th series has always had one major problem other than Jason, this enemy is by far worse and you just can't beat them, there'll always be around and be far meaner than Jason himself... well if you haven't guessed it I'm talking about the dreaded MPAA.
Just recently Parts 3 and 4 were released on DVD and much like parts 1 and 2 they had no extras except for a trailer. Now even though all the fans are very happy with there favorite series coming out on DVD with a excellent transfer and great picture quality (a great improvement over the old VHS) the fans still would love extras, with the main feature of being uncut. Around the time of parts 7 and 8 the MPAA were at it's worst, you can see this just by looking at the film, you can tell there cut, so what we plan to do is try and get part 8 out on DVD uncut.
That's our main Goal.
12/18/00 - Well In the last coulpe of days the Friday fans have heard somthing that has got us all very excited. Newline just might be buy the rights from Paramount to all the Friday the 13th's. And on top of that they just might be releasing them all in SE format. So if all this info is true it looks like the Friday DVDs are gonna get the Nightmare Treatment.
11/08/00 - Not much to update today. We're still trying to get in contact with Rob Heddon so he can make us a Cut List and talk a little more about the whole petition, basically to see if he wants to get involved. Also if you have a site and would like to link the petition please use the great banner Lammert Brower made us at the bottom of the page.
10/29/00 - The sites been up and running for 5 days now, and since then we've had 195 hits and 58 people have signed the Petition. So if you guys still would like to see the Friday the 13th part VIII uncut start telling your friends about the site. Post on other message boards and let them know what's happening. After we have a sufficient amount of signatures we'll start to email paramount and let them know people want to see this film uncut.
10/24/00 - Ok, this is the first day this site is officially opened, and hopefully we plan to bring you more news on the weeks to come. Sometime in the near future we plan to get in contact with Rob Hedden and ask him for help on the project, similar to what JCB is doing for the part VII petition. Also we plan to get a Cut list up and running shortly, keep checking back .
