Chapter 4 Harley, Mika and Joey got ready for the evening.  They stopped on the way to Fayetteville and grabbed a quick bite to eat.  Arriving at the arena at six o’clock sharp, they immediately spotted Jana’s car in the back of the parking lot.  "You ready?", Jana asked as the trio pulled up next to her car.  "Yep.", Harley responded as she climbed out of the car and turned to Joey.  "Behave, Listen to Aunt Mika and stay with her.  Have fun.  I love you.", Harley told her son. "Okay.  Bye, Mom.", Joey called to his mother. "Bye.", Harley said with a wave as she climbed into the passenger seat of Jana’s car.  "See you two later!", Jana called as she drove out of the parking lot. Mika and Joey parked and entered the arena.  Joey’s eyes lit up when he saw the ring.  And even more so when he saw that they had ringside seats.  This was going to be a blast. The car ride was silent for the first few minutes.  Harley broke the silence, "Where we going?" "I don’t know.  You want to go see a movie?"   "Naa.  We saw one last night."   "Well…let’s see…..we could go to McHail’s and have a couple of drinks and then go back to the arena.  Hang out and wait for the guys to get done.  What do you think?"   "I could sure use a drink."   Jana smiled a half smile, "Everything will be fine." Harley spun her head around to look at her friend questioning her statement.  Did SHE know too? "I just meant, that what ever it is that’s bothering you, I’m sure it will be fine.  You were always the one we never worried about.  You always had it all together."   Harley sighed.  If only she was still the same girl that everyone remembered so fondly.  It was funny to her how suddenly in the blink of an eye your whole life could change.  "How bout that drink?", Harley asked as they pulled up in front of McHail’s.  Jana smiled and the two friends went into the bar.  "Mika, this is sooo cool.  Did you see Shane smile at me when he left the ring?", Joey asked excitedly. "I did.  This is fun, huh?"   Joey nodded.   "So….who’s your favorite?"   "The Hardys.  They are so awesome."   "Oh really?", Mika pried with a smile.  How ironic. Just as the show was ending, Harley and Jana arrived back at the arena and parked in the back where the wrestlers usually parked.  Harley took a deep breath and steadied herself as she and Jana walked through the back door of the arena and headed down a long hall stopping at the third door on the right.  Jana knocked.  Shane answered the door with a smile and let the girls in.  The three chit chatted as they waited for the show to end and Mika to arrive in the back with Joey.  Just as Harley was feeling comfortable about Shane not bringing up the avoided subject, the door swung open. "Are we going out tonight?", a young handsome man with long, dark hair and dark eyes asked as he entered the room, "I’m sorry.  I didn’t know you had company." "Since when am I company?", Jana asked as she hugged the man.   Harley couldn’t place him, but she knew that something about him was familiar.  Harley looked past him to see a man with long purple hair. "Joey would have a fit.  That’s his favorite.", she thought as she saw him from behind.  But she was not prepared for what would happen next.  The man turned around and Harley nearly lost her breath.  There was no mistaking who he was - she would recognize those eyes anywhere.  He smiled as he recognized her too.   Jana introduced her friend, "This is my friend Harley.  You probably don’t remember her, but you met her years ago at a party."  Harley was finding it hard to breathe.
