I got my surgery date last Thursday! I called to see if my packet from WFL came in the mail, and Tierney told me that she got me a surgery date and that it's April 29th, 2003!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! Talk about a total HIGH!!!!!!! Saturday Mike & I went to the monthly obesity seminar, and there was this lady standing behind me. She had a name tag, so I thought she was a nurse that worked at the hospital. Turns out, she's one of the psychologists on my WFL list that I can have do my psych eval & MMPI!!!! YIPPEE! So she gave me her card on Saturday, and I called her today to make my appt. She is VERY nice. It was totally sweeeet that I met her on Saturday! God is good, people....God is good!!!!!!!!!
Her name is Marilyn J. Stagno, Psy D. I made my appt with her for March 20th, since I already have that day off to see Dr. Hart @ 9:30am. My appt w/Marilyn is at noon, and the MMPI will be a couple hours. Then this Saturday, the 15th of March, I'm going to my mandatory group support meeting, and then on April 2nd at 6:30pm I have the last of my required appointments. I will have my mandatory diet education class then. Mike said I will learn about my post op diet. And then my surgery is 27 days later! OMG! I can hardly believe it's coming together! WHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now to tell the boss...but not until next month! I don't wanna get fired quite yet. I'm very nervous about the job situation, so I'm trying to do my best now, to make myself invaluable, so that I'll have a job when I get off of sick leave. Sigh...sucks that I have to worry about something so stupid as having a job after surgery.
Well, that's it for this entry. I can't WAIT til this Saturday! After support group, Mike & I are going to our monthly Team Chi-Town lunch! OMG! So much has happened since last month, when all I had was my consult date at the BTC. Now I have had my consult with Dr. Kane Jr, and I will have made all my other appts, and done my first support group meeting, AND I have a surgery date! This year is my year!!!!!! |
