Cats Who Hate Balloons

The spit from his breath
is all they need
to give him the rewards,
the accolades, the awards.
This credit bound takes
the glory without the toil --
he specializes in sipping that
giant straw - aka sucking up.
It could be idle gossip,
or that strangling grapevine maybe
backfired and lashed back at the
wrong one.
Some cower in his shadows, most
laugh in his wake - swollen heads are
easy to pop like balloons just ask
my cat -- he hates balloons.
