1992A (Model 88)with Nomad Engine

MILES ON SPEEDOMETER =38,000 as A/ now 45,000 with 99 Nomad engine

ALTITUDE (FEET ASL) = 1350

MPG SLOW RIDING= 30

MPG HIGHWAY RIDING= 35

Judge performed Coyote Mod with K&N 9" Filter, R5 99 Motor, 96 D1 Carb, 1500A (1500-88) Frame. Turned reed valve covers, painted black with Natural gas self-tapping plug to shut off flow. It was barely visible against black jugs.  All EPA stuff already gone off BUBF, and except for reed valves, and was not on the 99 Nomad Salvage motor.

Jetting: 170 MJ. Stock Pilot (D1), 2&1/2 turns out. OEM needle, no clips, spring was shortened, but no slide drilling. R5

Pipes Access Perform: V&H Longshots with Devil Tips and baffles R5!  WS Memphis Fats, and have Memphis slim, also R4's. Tires: Currently was given a set of Continental tires in stock BUBF sizes. I have run one set of 491’s on the bike, and got about 10,000 on back, and front cracked badly about that time. They were not much more than a year old.

Med. Riding style. Depends on my humor. A lot of laid-back town store trips.

5X2&1/4 with Sherm’s risers added. Bars R4 with standard Buckhorns. ISO Grips are getting old looking, especially the throttle side, which I rigged up from a Valkyrie to work. R4 Mustang Wide Nostalgic seat. R4 Looks great after 3 years outside. Classic F&S license plate bracket and cover R5. 100/80 Napa headlight bulb. Much brighter than stocker, but the stator is much better on the Nad motor than the 92 BUBF. We also moved the rectifier.

BUB-a-NAD Conversion

We moved coils up under the tank, switch to opposite side, the radiator reservoir is GONE, and a hose runs to the ground. Gone also is the chrome Cover for it. No room in there for that stuff, or anything else for that matter. The Nomad motor and engine cases are MUCH bigger than the BUBF’s, and stuff just has to be moved. Kawasaki told us that it would bolt up. Well, it does, but not with the cases on, or much of anything else. We had that motor in and out of there so many times I can't count them. OH YEAH,. The F&S engine guard, although low, is great. It doesn't want to go back on after removal, but it has saved my bike countless injuries, and me too, for that matter!!! R5 for the engine guards. Besides, you may not find them anywhere else!!!

Comments:  I love this Nomad 5 speed motor. Spreading and welding the frame has not hurt the bike, and my Progressive springs and shocks have lowered it to exactly where I want it to be. Progressive? R5 Cool Stuff.

I’ve had this bike almost 4 years, and I can't leave it alone. It is always something. It sits right out front so I see it a lot. heehehehehehe
