The Historic Downtown Mokena is a small, quaint area with shops, restaurants and a train depot. The area has just undergone a renovation. Residents are now enjoying new sidewalks, landscaping, decorative amenities and three new public plazas. The work also included new street pavement as well as complete replacement of the water and sanitary sewer mains beneath Front Street.

Mokena is conveniently close to Interstate 80. Also, close enough to Orland Park to enjoy their shopping, restaurants and services, but separate enough to avoid their crowds!
