Fulda     24-26 May 2002
From Oct. 1989 to Jan. 1992 Bob called Fulda home. During his prior service, the young lad was shipped overseas to the Fulda gap, which divided the East from the West. Now quite a tourist attraction, Fulda is known for its relics, Cathedrals, and shopping. We of course had to take a trip out to the old post, which no longer is occupied by Americans.
The theater room in the city castle. As mentioned before, the city is known for it's relics. This one being the head of John the Baptist.
Below this alter St. Bonafice is buried. The old motorpool door!
Now a Kinergarten school, this is where Bob use to hang up his shoes (aka barracks). If only these walls could talk! Bob's old room.
Many a hours were spent standing in front of this building, which use to be the sports store on post, waiting for the shuttle bus to town. The "Black Horse" (Bob's old unit) is still rides years later.
