Have I said lately that I don't get paid enough for this line of work?

Oy. Those women and that "Frilly" comment. Think I didn't hear it...Oh ah ha ha they think they are sooo funny!! That was some of my better work. I have news for them, "It's not nice to fool with Cupid" oh wait that was Mother Nature. Damn that woman she always did have the best lines.

Okay, so I finally figured it out. I swoop down as Carmen tells Michelle that she is no longer part of her family and should leave her Daniel alone. I have to say she reminds me a lot of my mother Venus...so many similarities it's almost scary. Danny is staring intently at Michelle as if to say play along with me, he tells her you will have to leave, this is family business and no concern of yours. Dietz is standing behind her scratching his head and wondering why he has a sudden urge to break a twenty into one-dollar bills.

I watch as Michelle turns and walks to the elevators, funny thing with the folks in SF they sure love these elevators. NOTE to self: Have to try Elevators out with Psyche !!!

Danny and his mother arguing again, okay enough I have to stop this. drastic times need drastic measures, I fly by his ear and whisper "move Danny go to her take her away". He walks away from his mother without a word..

Oh, the look on her face, priceless. Dietz bless him chooses this time to say "Boss lets get out of here, we have a trip to make tonight remember the little problem on the island" she stopped herself then, and took out her cell phone and made a call "Dietz the pilot says the plane will not be ready for us tonight, we will have to fly commercial and pick up Ben on the way. We may need him before this is over" he just grins and say "Yes, boss I am on it" and they head for the airport.

Drats!! I need to fix this. How did I ever pick him as a sidekick, I should have listened to my wife when she said he was a loser.

Danny flicked open his at the same time and said into it "I told you that I would call you in a moments notice. Yes proceed as planned, no, no we cannot use the jet. This has to be private. Yes my men should be picking up the package anytime now...Yes for a few weeks...okay meet you there." he walked to the stairs and I buzzed after him.

Michelle had just gotten to her car when a hand grabbed her from behind, and shoved her into a waiting car. Danny had told them where to take her; he was already on his way to the airport. They handed her a ticket and told her that Danny was waiting for her.

I was so astounded by this turn of events that I had to call Mercury with a change in plans. I had him checking on the flights out of Springfield, and after some careful snooping he found the flight they would be on.

Danny was sitting there totally astounded by the people boarding the plane when Michelle arrived. One look at her and he knew she furious with him.

I don't want to use an arrow on these two. Not yet anyway. A commotion in the back of the plane held my attention for just a second too long, and Michelle jumped over into another seat across the aisle. Neither, speaking to the other. Talk to her, I whisper in his ear.

Who is that woman walking around up there, she sure looks familiar.

"Can I have your attention please, the captain asks that you all be patient with the delay in departure."

That voice I know that voice. Drats. It escapes me. Oh well, figure it out later. Hey I just saw Reva and Josh board the plane, wonder how come they are flying economy class.

The flight attendant's voice interrupted my thoughts on that question.

"Welcome to Flight 2-11, A Transatlantic flight from Springfield to San Cristobel with a small stop over in Greece. I hope that all of you enjoy your flight and if there is anything you need please see my partner Leslie. As this is my first week on the job, and I am clueless".

That voice. Wait it's coming to me.

"I am pleased to welcome all the ones on the "Tour San Cristobel on a shoestring budget" group, we hope your visit and tour is all that you want it to be," I listen as she goes through her schpeel about exiting and tray tables, yada yada yada.

I know that voice, I believe I struck her with an arrow a few years back, but I don't think it was one of my success stories. Ahh.. they say your memory is the first thing to go. I am sure it will come to me.

I notice Danny gravitating towards Michelle, I wish these two would get it together.

Oh young love I think to myself, their story is so similar to my wife's and my story. Danny's mother Carmen is a lot like my mother Venus was in the beginning.

My mother was very beautiful, as you all know I'm sure. All who looked upon her were in awe of her. Until one day a girl of great beauty came on the scene and stole her admirers away. That did not sit well with dear old mom. She called me

"Oh Cupid!!! Oh Cupid!!! Get your winged butt in here!!!

Her voice reminding me of a whiney character Lewis in a book I once read. Wuthering Lights I believe, great piece of Literature.

She then proceeds to point out Psyche to me saying,

"My son, punish this girl; give your mother a revenge as sweet as her injuries are great; put into her heart a passion for some low, mean, unworthy being, so that she may know pain and embarrassment."

I went to do her bidding. I filled two vases from each fountain in the garden. One sweet, one bitter. I went in search of Psyche and found her asleep. I dropped a few drops from the bitter fountain over her lips, though the sight of her almost made me stop; then I touched her side with the point of my arrow. As I touched her she awoke, and opened her eyes upon me (I was invisible), it so surprised me that in my confusion I wound up poking myself with my own arrow. Paying no attention to my wound, my thoughts were now trying to repair the mischief I had done, I poured the sweet liquid over all her silken ringlets.

Well to make a long story a little shorter...

I married her even though she could not see me. Oh she begged to know me often, but I would not consent. I would visit her in the dark of night, so she would not see me. This stopped her for awhile until her sisters planted seeds of doubt, then she chose to deceive and wound me with a lamp and a knife.

"Oh foolish Psyche is it thus you repay my love? After having disobeyed my mother's commands and made you my wife, you betray me...Go just go...Love cannot dwell with suspicion" Oh I remember those words so clearly and I left then, leaving her with her tears.

She came looking for me then. And after going through hell and back, with my mother in the role of Satan. I took her to heaven (literally) where Jupiter pleaded our cause to my mother. (that I still wonder about) because after that talk she consented to our relationship. Mercury arrived with a cup of Ambrosia, and said "Drink this, Psyche, and be immortal; nor shall Cupid ever break away from the knot which he is tied, these nuptials will be perpetual."

So much alike in so many ways...I have to help these two.

Oh my beautiful Psyche we were united at last and look what we ended up with a beautiful daughter named Pleasure...

"May I have your attention,"

He snapped back to the present to hear that voice again. "Quit your daydreamin' you have work to do," scolding myself.

"The captain would like to say again sorry for the delay, if you will put your tray tables in an upright position and fasten your seat belts we will prepare for take off. And once again thank you for flying Eros Aire the company that stays in the air with the lowest fare. Geez, what drivel. Hope you all enjoy San Cristobel, she turned towards the back of the plane and noticed for the first time Josh and Reva. Clicking the mike she said in a low voice "Well, if it is not the honeymooners, imagine running into you two. Nice trip you are going on. As you can see this is the only job I could get since nursing is out of the question and SF's finest took my badge away. Plus, Reva you know how much I just LOVE to fly. This one guarantees to fulfill all your wishes, hopes and dreams."

Annie!!! Oh no Mercury damn it man where was your head, this is not good. That woman is not a good frequent flyer; she never finishes her trips except maybe the delusional kind.

Chaos!! Utter Chaos!! Curses mother if I find out your behind all this, so help me I will cut off your Chariots Express Card today!

Oh I believe I am being torn apart by all these unexpected guests. How many more are here? I am so glad to be stopping over in Greece, I need some reinforcements. Glancing quickly to Danny and Michelle I see they are at least talking to each other. And Michelle does have this mysterious twinkle in her eyes.

Maybe just maybe oh...Stop it !! Oh my mind is wandering again.

I have to stop Annie but how, searching I see Carmen and Ben running to catch the door before it closes. Wwhat is this, how does everyone in this town end up on the same plane?

Ah well, that is for someone else to explain later, I am too busy to analyze it right now. Aha I got it. Okay, Annie "hear them" I blow into her ear. She turns and runs out the door.

Reva and Josh were each speechless for once "Do we still have time to bail" they think silently.

I start to fly out the door to follow Annie and create some kind of diversion. I don't want these two on this plane, but as I go out the door one of my wings clips the frame, throwing me off balance. One of my arrows dischargre accidentally! Slapping myself on the forehead all I could do is watch in stunned horror as my arrow grazes Annie's arm, then hits Carmen in the chest, exiting through her back only to lodge in Ben's neck.

Oh no!!! That was my new arrow built just for me by my friend Mr. Ronco. It is still in the experimental stages. Darn it, I knew I should have left it at home. I have no idea what it will do.

Oh by the way did I happen to mention I don't get paid a lot for this job!
