As far as i can remember, it was Em who came up with the name BoF on one afternoon while waiting for Chay who was at an important meeting. she just started writing letters down at our blackboard at II-Diligence--i thought she was just bored and hungry, like we all do, but lately did i realized that the three-letter name was more than the result of cravings for mais con yelo and pancit palabok (our favorites). and so, without further ado, BoF was born. about the group's anniversary (which is 14), well...i forgot the story, but all i can remember is that it was an unanimous decision, so, we don't worry about unlucky numbers whatsoever.
A lot of people thought that we are a group of friends who have almost all the same things in common...well...we do! but NOT all exactly...that's why we remained friends this long!...
Em and Kaye were a year older than us, so by the time the five of us were together, the two of them were already in their junior year while Lai, Chay, and myself were in our sophomore year.
I can say that the BoF is an inter-personality group...Lai is the more reserved and serious one, but bet this gal can really play drums! she was our batch's official drummer, and if she's not holding the d-sticks, she's got her paintbrush in her hand...a painter par excellence!
Chay meanwhile, can make the group laugh...armed with her cute pair of dimples and boisterous laugh, you simply just can't say no to her.
Em is the fashion adviser anyone can have...and she's the type of person who can think of what things to do right away...grace under pressure, so to speak.
Kaye is somebody who manages to always be there wherever the action is...she can be with Lai on day 1, with Em on day 2 Chay on day 3 and finally with me on day 4... and still is present when all of us are together on day 5! That's why she knew all of us deep within.
Pat, that's me...well, i'm missing the action right now...while i'm doing this site, i'm miles and miles away from them! Bet it'll take them quite a while to finally view this page...but i'm sure they'll kill me if they'll find out that i used this not-so-concentrated picture of ours...hehehe....enjoy, you guys!
