UNSF HQ, San Francisco
14:42 SET - January 25th
2174

Regina walked out of the HQ building visibly disappointend with  her briefing.  She'd shown Shane and the rest of the TASK FORCOM admirals the track of the aggressive Imperial Armada and Klamataian Star Force. They were moving around to invade the Rutarus Repulic, which had the largest undefended boarder with the UNGG.  The Admirals dismissed because earlier intelligence indicated that Imperials were sending only one carrier battle group and reittereated the non-agrression pact with the UNGG shared with the Imperials. Other admirals dismissed the idea of the Imperials being able to invade UNGG space without the UNSF knowing about as ludicrious.
She pointed that there was not one sensor array between the Rutarus boarder up to the Pluto early warning array.  Upon being her being queried about potential targets, she was unable to determine which bases near the Rutarus - UNGG boarder would suffer a potential attack.  An attack with in the solar system just wasn't a plausible idea.  The only way the Imperials could strike with in the solar system was to hit all bases between the Ratarus boarder and the Pluto early warning sensor.  The extent of her disspointment was made very appearant after she threw her folder of intelligence material to the ground.  Captain Benton just left walked out of the building to see Regina throw down her folder.  He jogged to her side.

"Regina... What on earth?" Benton said now gathering her spilled folder.  Regina hid her face in one hand.  Benton finished gathering the folder and handed back to Regina. "Let's get some coffee.  That seems to calm you down abit."

"None of them will listen.. Just look at their movements.  They disappear right between the Rutarus - UNGG boarder.  We dont have sensors or anything near there.  We simply trust the Rutarus government to patrol their own boarders and give us fair warning."

"Your not giving the Imperials enough credit.  Remember watching that engagement between them and Xel-Nagan Fleet.  The Xel-Nagan fleet was reduced to a third of its strength." Benton stopped looked around gestured for Regina to come with him to a Starbuck's located just off base. "Come on... You need it.  Really."

"Alright, I just wish they would've..."

"Regina, give it a rest.  But I must agree with them.  An attack inside the Solar System itself seems rather outlandish. The Imps know there wouldnt be a chance in hell getting there attacking force out of there.  Not unless the plan to wipe three or four of fleets in port.  We'd see em well before they got anywhere near use. Outter system lookout post will blow the whitsle on em if they do."

"I just hope I dont prove you and them wrong."
