Sephany was born in 1979, the only child to a single unemployed mother who had lost everything. Her ex-husband had striped her for everything she was worth and they lived in a slum in Texas. The house was abandoned except for the junkies who lived in the basement and allowed Sephany and her mum to live there under condition that they worked to acquire money for their fix as well as themselves. Sephany as a baby somehow managed to avoid the social services and wasn't even born in a clean environment. School was very important for Sephany and she quickly became top of the class but kids would taunt her about her not-so-clean clothes and where she lived. She dropped out at 16 at the threat of the junkies and started working. She worked as a midnight cleaner for a while at the local Wal-Mart for under minimum wage, She was forced to give these wages over to the junkies. As she became older Sephany became sick of this and realised that like this, her life would mean nothing. As a consequence she started bunking off work and since she had no contact number they couldn't get her. The drug-addicts soon found out as their fix was running low. Sephany started hearing whispers of how they were going to deal with it and became scared- still only 19 she woke up one morning to find her mothers dead corpse beside her. They had overdosed the mother in the night. Sephany left the small possessions she had and headed out on her own late that night. Scrounging on the streets what little money she had Sephany knew she had to get away, she got on the next bus to Necropolis, the middle city in Missouri. When she arrived, she started off all right. She had managed to get a grand total of $100 from social services but declined their offer to move her into a hostel. But after the first week her money started to get low, no one would employ her due to how she looked after her childhood. Messy hair and yellowing teeth at 21, Sephany turned to prostitution- living at a different guys house each night only to be chucked out the next morning. Spending her last dollar at Shadows bar on a glass of water she curled up in a booth and started to cry, hating how she couldn't change anything. She would have died undoubtedly, in a week. Suspicious murders were going on across town and she hardly had the streets as a secure living place.
It was then that the devil shined a light her way. Sephany, through her haunting at Shadows gained the attention of Beltaine, the member of a Brujah pack called the "Death-Wings". Seeing Sephany as his next potential meal he feigned feelings of love towards her. Sephany, needing this sort of attention that she had always craved but never received jumped right in at the chance that -someone- liked her. Beltaine took her to the Hotel and they booked a room for the night. It was as they sat there that Beltaine realised he wouldn't be able to kill this one, and as she started to die he Embraced her. Unfortunately this brought the whole world down on both of them. The Camarilla soon found out that Beltaine had violated their Tradition. Beltaine and Sephany were hunted mercilessly. It was during this "get out of the city" that they got separated. Sephany remained in the hotel room he had let her until they threw her out, not understanding the thing she had become. Eventually she ended up, half-starved at Shadows and wandered towards the Lake Smithville woods- there she was attacked. The Death-Wings found her body and over the best part of a year they fought Final Death off her. These nights Sephany mostly stays back at their clubhouse waiting on Beltaine and doing what she's told. He trains her well, but sometimes she has to return to the place her life changed… |
