Physical Description:
Darcel has a slim, almost athletic build, and a lithe sort of grace. He is 5’11, but finds it amusing to keep his nose higher (unless, as usual, concerned he will sully his new shoes). His dark green eyes are often aglitter, and he has black hair that is just rugged looking enough to give him semblance of style. He is not particular about clothes so much as style; occasionally he will try a spicy tie from some brand name, but his attire consists of his fairly characteristic dark colors. His medium height and slim figure still hold authority with his mildly broad shoulders, often hidden under a black dress shirt, dark green vest, and black overcoat. Black dress pants lengthen his legs, and silver cufflinks with black tie completed his usual, immaculate outfit. As one so used to luxury and riches, Darcel fancies things like knowledge, clever wit, and good shoes.

Personality:
Darcel is known as a somewhat eccentric recluse around the world. Being the owner of several large companies across Europe, as well as investing millions in America’s recovery efforts, Darcel is on the receiving end of both media and press, which he avoids like the plague. Another thing he avoids is his cousin, Ames White. Being a reluctant member of the Conclave, he joins the Illuminati as rarely as possible, finding their rituals disturbing and strange. He’d simply prefer to be human, and avoids using the abilities passed down to him through the ancient blood line. He has no need to fight…

Darcel is most confident and persuasive in his element, conducting business meetings with astounding sharpness and perception. This aloof manner holds out only through official business – and then the slightly mischievous conduct previously evident only through subtle hints comes pouring out. What borders on derisive mocking is Darcel’s attempt at good humor, and once in ordinary, everyday situations, he becomes skittish and reserved. The businessman capable of persuading billionaires to invest in failing causes finds himself at loss in how to order a pizza.

But Darcel is generally a resourceful and valuable ally. With seemingly endless financial support, and the best education Europe can offer, he is always searching for something worth his time, some curiosity or project to be discovered and funded. And though he has few friends, once they are made he is loyal to only them.



History:
A Briton who rarely comes to America, Darcel prefers a comfortably limited world of unlimited luxury.

Born to one of the ancient bloodlines of the Conclave, Darcel’s parents forced him to undergo the ritual ceremony which branded the stamp of the Illuminati onto his left forearm. He normally wears an Armani sweatband or some other expensive accessory to cover up the unpleasant reminder, for he never did feel part of the organization. Darcel has never had much loyalty for the cult himself, but was forced to remain an unwilling member, sending word or visiting occasionally, though avoiding contact with his cousin Ames in America. As a none-too-subtle mockery to Ames, Darcel also took a new surname.

As a member of the Conclave, he is naturally agile and fit, but he has never tapped into his more unusual genes. Being nothing short of panicked finding out he could jump high fences and climb walls and survive gunfire, Darcel had never cared to test any of these theories.

A young, ordinary seeming businessman, Darcel had dealings with Lydecker who was interested in certain genetic technology being developed by one of Darcel’s companies. Darcel had not thought much of his connections with the American at the time. Several years later, with business good as ever, Darcel was informed that Ray was undergoing a sacred ceremony, and Ames wanted his cousin present.

Thus finding himself skeptical of the Conclave, he is reluctantly drawn to America on White’s insistence, drawing with him unwanted attention.


How Much People Know:
Not much. Darcel is only known for being an eccentric recluse. His vast fortunes he invests, spends, and wastes on trivialities like shoes, yet they never seem to diminish. All that is known of Darcel is that he is a rich British businessman, owner of several large firms, influential stock holder, and rarely seen in public. There is nothing to make him look anything but human.
