His name is also romanized as:
Wong Kam Hung /Wong Men Hung / Wong Kam Hoong.
Shifu Huang Jin Hong was from Shantung Province (China) and began studying at a young age under shifu Luo Guang Yu.
At the age of nineteen, he won a national boxing title and after becoming a graduate disciple of shifu Luo Guang Yu, he migrated to Malaysia and became one of the principle instructors of the Jing Wu Association in Penang. Shifu Huang Jin Hong later set up his own gong fu school, the "Praying Mantis Physical Culture Institute".
Shifu Huang Jin Hong was sought after as an advisor and patron to many societies. Over the fifty years he taught, he held many distinguished positions such as Patron of the "Penang Chinese Martial Arts Association", instructor to the "Canton Foo Sun Society", advisor to "Guang Sai Wu Chow Jing Wu", member of "Hong Kong Wai Mang Martial Arts Society" and "Hong Kong Man Keung Athletic Association".
Shifu Huang Jin Hong's favourite forms are Tang Lang Chu Dong (Praying Mantis Exits the Cave) and Liu He Gun (Six Harmonies Staff).
Shifu Huang Jin Hong later moved to Singapore.
