His Chinese name is Xue Wu Qiang.
At the beginning of the '80s due to bad financial administration the "Philippines Ling Nam Athletic Association" was inactive and even closed some time.
Shifu William Soon took the responsability for reopening the Association. By 1982 the Ling Nam Ass. had a competitive team again. Leaded by shifu Robert Kuan and shifu William Soon, Ling Nam took part of the 2nd Asian Kuoshu Tournament and in 1993 shifu William Soon took part on the 4th World Kuoshu Tournament in Tainan, Taiwan.
Around 1993 he met shifu Zhong Lian Bao and in 1993 he did bai shi ceremony and was accepted as his disciple.
In 1995 shifu Lu Song Mao from the "Luk Chi Fu Martial Arts Association" in Hong Kong accepted him as disciple in the White Crane style and in 1996 shifu Zhang Guo Hua graduated him as 4th. level black sash in that style.
Shifu William Soon is still the chief instructor of the "Philippines Ling Nam Athletic Association" and teaches in Manila (Philippines). He prefers to teach White Crane style.
