"'Red Hat' is one of our heavier songs, it's got a catchy riff with a groove, it's fun to play live. Justin and I were on the phone one night (no comments, please), and he said he wanted a song that was heavy, with a constant beat that he could just go off on. Well, here it is, it's the first time I've been able to write something on command. Usually I just stumble onto ideas, and then work out the music I hear in my head. The main riff has a pause in it that we kind of came upon by accident and it's stuck. The riff at the end is all-out, a fun one to just smash out. As for the song title, we could've named it something more constructive but where's the fun in that?."
