The Super Gang

Intro
In 2001, a US distributor called Beverly Wilshire Filmworks, released a DVD of The Super Gang. Although The Super Gang is not Bruceploitation by any means (star Bruce Le had got out of that genre), Beverly Wilshire promoted the DVD as a Bruce Lee movie. Not only that, but the print used was awful. There are scenes missing, scenes in the wrong order and a slightly green picture problem. Beverly Wilshire were apparently sued and The Super Gang is no longer available in the U.S. However, in 2002 a UK distributor released The Super Gang on DVD. Before I could get it though, it was for some reason, taken out of print (along with a few other titles). Then in September 2002, The Super Gang showed up again from a label called Delta Music (stationed in Kent). Delta seem to be some sort of tribute to Beverly Wilshire Filmworks and as you can imagine, the DVD is pretty bad.

Picture Quality
A lift from the Beverly Wilshire disc. How do I know? The BWF logo shows up at the beggining. Picture is fuzzy VHS type stuff in full screen, although two black bars appear at the top and bottom of the screen.

Sound Quality
Hissy, sharp, loud, annoying. By the way Keith, it's not in DOLBY as you said it probably wouldn't be in your movie review.

Packaging
Obviously, the cover boasts that Bruce Le is in the movie and the name Bruce Le is all over the cover. Pretty cheap looking.

The Film
Certainly one of Le's best. A modern day action thriller that has nothing to do with Bruce Lee and lets Wong Kin Lung (Bruce Le's real name) show us what he can do as an actor as gangster Allan until his spectacular demise near the end.
