Here's a fresh original idea in kung fu movies, some rebels fight against the Japanese. Not really a story here, some rebels in Korea fighting the Japanese and they gotta save their master. The rebels are really multi-ethnic group with chinese and americans fighting along side the Koreans. Now we all could learn a thing or two from them...can't we all just get along. The Korean leader is played by taekwondo grand master Jhoon Rhee whose martial arts skills surpass his acting skills as he has basically one facial expression. From a grand master you'd expect to see some pretty good stuff, but Rhee really doesn't do anything spectacular. Angela Mao is probably the best thing about this movie. She gets the most screen time and a lot of fights involving hand-to-hand and hand-to-sword. Sammo plays a Japanese fighter who repeatedly gets beat up by Rhee, Mao, Mao, and Mao again. This movie is okay, but can get kinda boring and the fights are average.
