Radaavi's Weyr
Radaavi stands before you with a smirk on his face.

"Welcome. I'm Searched. I'm in."

You stand for a moment, hoping that he'll elaborate. Fortunately, he does.

"Well, I'm actually a Journeyman Weaver. But when I was at Talor Cliff weyr, I managed to wander out in front of a search rider's dragon. They gave me the go-ahead. Now, when I go back to Paveh Hold, it'll hopefully be as a dragon rider, instead of just a weaver!"

You congratulate him on his fortune.

He waves his hand. "Fortune had nothing to do with it." He puts his hand near his lips and whispers, "I heard about the search rider, and watched where they were going. It was easy. But even so," he says in a louder voice, "I'm going to take it seriously, this clutch is very small and I hope that I'm not left alone at the end of the hatching."

A roar brought Radaavi and the other Candidates to the sands as quickly as they could run!

Radaavi wasn't the first on the sands, but then he didn't much need to be, as the first egg which cracked and opened was a brown who Impressed one of the other boys!

Two greens broke shell at the same time, and while there was a girl Impressing one of them, the other came straight to Radaavi!

I am going to starve to death, my friend R'daavi, I know it. I know I will. I was in that egg for so long and I have not had a bite to eat. Ever! I do not think you know what that is like, R'daavi. I know two things. One is that my name is Koaluth. Another is that I am hungry! Oh! And I know that you are my only choice for a rider. You alone!

R'daavi suddenly laughed, as the words spill into his mind. "All right, all right, Koaluth, I won't let you starve!" He said, a broad grin on his face.

While he led the dragonet outside into the feeding area to get that all important first meal, three others impressed! Such a tiny clutch, but with such precious results!
