A 3-period lesson for teaching
French
as a foreign
language.
STEP ONE
Naming
Introduce two objects by their French name.
Speak slowly and clearly. Repeat the name.
STEP TWO
Recognizing
Ask the child to recognize an object by its French name.
Start
with the second object you introduced.
Repeat
the question for the name of the first object you introduced.
-at this point you may wish to reinforce by asking the child: Give me (name in French)
STEP THREE
Identification
Show the child the last object in STEP two(the
first name you
introduced)
Repeat for the second name
you introduced in the STEP one:
If the child cannot say the name or
has difficulty pronouncing it you may
pronounce it for him loud and clear.
If he seems willing to repeat the
exercise, repeat all three steps.
