Maple Creations Misc. projects
Here are a few examples of the hair barrettes I make.  My 'specialty' I guess :)
The top two are fiddleback maple, the oval one is maple burl.  The grain in this wood 'dances'!!!
They come with either a 3" (normal sized) clip, or a 4" (long/thick hair) clip.  They are finished with 4-5 coats of clear polyurethane.
These sell for $6 ea. or 4 for $20.
Another of my favorites - pocket watches.  This one is Maple burl, but I also do them in various other woods.  They are finished in 4-5 coats of clear polyurethane and they sell for $30.
A pretty little fiddleback maple pin.   $5.
Small hair barrettes with 1 1/2" clips for fine/thin hair - I have only a few of these left and will not be making any more this small - maple burl with polyurethane finish - $5 each.  On the right is a hair barrette for extra thick hair with a small dowel instead of a metal clip.  Maple burl - finished in tung oil -  $7.
Not woodworking really, but certainly a project!  This is my Serro Scotty 12' travel trailer.  I refurbished the inside with new cupboards doors (made from molding and paneling), table, counter, flooring, and upholstery.  What a project, but I love my little Scotty trailer!  This was one of the first camping trips with it - camping on the Chewack river near Winthrop, WA.
