Okay, here is my fic for the Christmas challenge,
Jedi|<http://www.oocities.org/rachaelle_arcticwolf>
Ben
Skywalker sat up stiffly in the small bunk he was assigned
to on the freighter and he rubbed his face, trying to wake up a
little bit more. He really didn't feel like getting up but something
was nagging him at the back of his mind, something he had forgotten.
Then he remembered what
it was, today was the Celebration of the
Light. Ben dragged himself out of bed and threw some clothes on and
raked his hair into some sort of semi neatness. He left his room to
meet up with his family then noticed the young woman dressed in
tight fitting clothes and a jacket of black leather, her hair chopped
short and pulled back in a tight military style braid. She glanced his way
icily as if she would be willing to rip him apart limb from limb and
he doubted that she
wouldn't be able to, after all he knew this
woman to be tough enough to do so. She had trained him to fight and she
almost done just that in the process. "Skywalker," the woman said as
she approached Luke Skywalker, her gait showing she wasn't there to
fool around. "Why did you call me back? You said it was urgent."
"It's time for the celebration. I thought perhaps you would
wish to spend with family, or old friends."
"You and your gang of idealistic fools are anything but my
family or friends. You trained me and I watched your children and
unless you have anything else that urgently needs my attention I
shall be leaving before you lose my respect for you as well Master
Skywalker." She left with a sharp turn but as she was leaving Luke
called out, "you're a true Imperial Nadi, you pretend not to but I
guess some things never change."
Nadi turned on her heels and glared at Luke as if ready to gut
him. "Fine, I'll stay, just to prove you mob of stupid idealists
wrong."
"Your choice, I'm not pressing you in any way."
Nadi snarled as she curled her lip and grabbed her pack passing
Ben without noticing him on her way to the room that she had stayed
in for so long, the room next to his own.
"You'll be there tonight?" Luke asked as he noticed Ben for the
first time.
"Yeah, I'll be there. It's tradition. I don't think I can duck
out of it." Ben joined his father's side as he watched his
face. "What happened to her? She was never like this before?"
"She's fighting her feelings. You should realize that. Your
mother and I had the same problem."
"No, she's fighting her past. She was broadcasting when you
called her an Imperial. You're lucky she didn't burn you where you
stood."
"I trust her control enough to know she wouldn't do that."
"I'm sure she's killed men for less than what you just did to
her today."
"Why do you think she's in the room next yours? If the need to
kill strikes she won't go after me cause you'll be closest."
"I thought you were supposed to be a Jedi Master? What kind are
you if you put your own son in harms way?"
"I'm also a father with a right to torture and generally annoy
you."
Ben shook his head and laughed, being so much alike in
personality and temperament his father and he could never much
having any conversation without egging on each other, it had become more
that way as Ben grew out of his teenage years and became a young
man.
His constant care for Nadi was only one of the topics and Luke
seemed to torture him more during the family time of the Celebration of the
Light.

Luke was laughing quietly as he entered his chambers later one
that day before the party that night. He pulled off his shirt and
dropped it on the floor.
"Tsk, tsk, husband mine. I thought I had trained you better
than that," Mara Jade Skywalker whispered in his ear as her arm slid
over his shoulders and
caressed his chest. "You were gong after Ben
again."
Luke just shook his head and laughed not really caring. Luke
saw a young version of himself, at an age where he had taken down
the Empire and was so worried about making a mistake, in Ben. "The party
doesn't start for three hours. We don't need that much time to get
ready." Luke said tempting her with a sly smile, ready for action.

Luke smiled as he watched the younger couples on the dance
floor, the older generation was af course not there. Wedge and
Corran were at the bar and Wedge was amusing himself by pointing out all of
Corran's gray hairs. Luke walked past them and picked up a bottle of
wine and two glasses
and smiled as he passed his friends and turned
to talk to them setting the bottle down and not noticing it when Ben
took the bottle and several glasses joining Nadi and a few others on the other
side of the dance
floor. Luke turned back to the counter
and frowned as he noticed the bottle was gone and Corran pointed
over towards the group of young adults around Ben. Luke couldn't help but
watch his son. It had been so long and Ben was in his early
twenties.
He had spent so long away from his family, wasn't there for most of
his childhood.
"There goes the drink," Luke muttered as Wedge offered him
another along with a small box. "Thanks Wedge, you're a lifesaver."
Luke said as he turned and ducked out of the way of Iella and Mirax.
"Go Luke," Wedge said with a smile shooing his friend off
towards his wife.
Luke smiled and joined his wife again and offered her the small
box, Mara wrapped her arms around Luke's neck and then kissed him
strongly, leaning into him too far and Luke fell over with her on
top of him. Luke pushed himself up but needed to support himself by use
of a railing. "I'm getting way too old for this," he muttered as he
glanced again at Mara, a huge smile on her face. Life had become a
joy since the New Republic had thrown them out.

Nadi elbowed Ben in the ribs and pointed at the pair that had
just fallen over. Ben shook his head and began laughing at his
parents. Ben offered his hand to Nadi as a slower song began and she
accepted it brought closer to him. Nadi couldn't help but offer him
a small smile as she pressed against his chest. It had been so long
since she had trained him, and he had grown up so much since then.
*Of course, did you think I would stay a little boy? *
*No, * she thought to him as leaned further into him. *I'm glad
I stayed. *
*You like to irritate my father, don't you? *
"Of course," she whispered in his ear, "what's the point in
being nice to him?"
"Yes," he said laughing softly, "That's true."

The entire crowd gathered around a large table as dishes of
food were passed around from one perso to another with chatter at no
lack. The normally bland mess hall was covered with brightly colored
lights and red and green strings. Of course, come tomorrow they
would have to clean up everything but that didn't bother them right then
as they shared the good times that came with the holiday.
