Hi all,

I wanted to post you this fic a couple of weeks later, but today I suddenly thought: *hey, I'll send it now!* So, here it is. This fic can be regarded as a Luke's first time story, but not necessarily. In fact I didn't write this for the challenge, since I wrote it about a year ago. This was my first fanfic, so please don't be mad if it's not that perfect. To those who don't know: I'm Hungarian, so it wasn't that easy for me to write a fic in English. Still, I did. Everyone, please, don't expect beautiful describings, there won't be any, because I cannot write in such an excellent way you, the native speakers of English, do. I'm sure you can understand that.

Special thanks to Michele, who volunteered to correct my grammatical mistakes. (I guess I gave you a lot do, Michele, didn't I?)

In this fic I assumed that there was no Akanah, and that Luke never slept with Callie. Anyway, this story has nothing to do with anything. It's just a simple love story.

Disclaimer: these characters aren't mine. They belong to George Lucas, Tim Zahn and KJA. I'm making no money of this.

Well, I hope you'll have fun!

Torpedoes of passion

Chapter I.

XYZ planet, somewhere in that Galaxy far, far away...

"Is that cottage far away?" Mara asked. "I'm really all tired out."

"I don't know." Luke replied. "But according to the map that Lando gave me, it can't be far away."

"You know, Jedi, this whole thing was a pretty silly idea, hiding a microchip in the middle of a forest. Only Lando would think of such a thing." said the girl making a wry face. "As a matter of fact, I don't even know what we are doing here. We have already found that damned microchip that was so important for Lando. We should have left the planet right after that."

"Yes, but the ship is quite far away from here, so we couldn't reach it before twilight. I think it's not the best idea to search for it in the darkness. Am I right?"

"Yes, of course, Skywalker, you are always right."

Luke didn't want to react upon Mara's sarcasm. They continued their walk across the forest without uttering a single word. The Jedi knew that Mara didn't want to come with him, but fate seemed to have its own will, bringing them together once again. Yes, Luke knew how much the girl had hated him some years before, and although her abomination disappeared, she couldn't really make friends with him. Luke couldn't do anything to make the girl like him, but he didn't care about it. He accepted the fact, that Mara was cold and indifferent.

"It's thundering." stated the woman. "I hope we reach that cottage before it begins to rain."

Luke shrugged and said nothing. In the next moment it began to rain and Mara started to curse. They continued walking in the downpour for about three minutes. Finally they caught sight of the little house.

"Oh, at last!" murmured Mara. "I'm soaked to the skin."

"Yes, me too." the man replied opening the door. The cottage was small and fortunately unoccupied. Once Lando had spent some days on this planet, and slept here.

"Well, very nice. Just a bit dirty. I hope there are no rats." said the girl. "But. there's only one bed."

"Is that a problem?" wondered Luke. "Of course you can have the bed, I shall sleep on the floor."

"Trying to be a gentleman, Skywalker? Don't strain yourself, because you won't succeed."

"Thanks. I haven't expected anything else from you. You have always been so nice to me!" Luke retorted a bit offended, then started to make a fire at the fireplace. "Though this is not a dream-palace, at least there's some wood. It will soon be warm in here."

"Great." sighed Mara turning her back on Luke. She stood by the window, looking at the storm for some minutes. Suddenly she heard Luke's voice. "You should also drop them."

"Drop? What?"

"Your clothes. They are wet. You can catch a cold, or even pneumonia."

Mara turned around and was surprised to see Luke sitting on a carpet in front of the fire. The lower parts of his body were covered by a tiny blanket, but he wore nothing more than that. His clothes were hanging on a chair-back near the fire. Mara was staring at him for some seconds, then suddenly looked the other way not daring to keep her glance at him. Those five or six seconds she was looking at the man were enough for her to realise that this made her feel something that she had never felt before. And it was frightening. It scared her. Her, who had never been scared before.

"I won't look at you while you undress. You can be sure of that."

"Oh" muttered Mara trembling. She had to admit that Luke was right. She felt really cold.

*************************************************************************

A few minutes later she was sitting next to him, covered by another blanket. She was shivering, and pretty embarrassed. In fact she really had a lot of reason to feel so: they both were almost naked. Not that being naked would have been so embarrassing for Mara Jade, but being in such a situation with the "farmboy" definitely was. Luke felt Mara's bewilderment and wanted to dissipate her confusion.

"Are you hungry?" he asked. "I have some biscuits."

"Yes. Thanks." she took a biscuit and started to chew it. "I hope, it won't rain for a long time."

"It won't. Tomorrow the weather will be just fine. Warm and sunny."

"How do you know that? Do you feel it in your bones? Or through the Force?"

"No." he smiled. "I watched the weather-forecast in the city yesterday. The meteorologist said that the next day there would be some rain in the afternoon or in the evening, but tomorrow there would be a lot of sunshine."

"You watched the weather-forecast? Oh, the practical side of the Jedi Master... I didn't know it existed. Well, what will be the weather like the next week?" Mara continued inquiring, just to talk about something.

"Dunno. Is it important at all?"

"No." she snickered. "Of course not. We are going to leave this damned planet tomorrow."

She looked at the fire for a while, then she cast a glance at the Jedi sitting next to her, only to realise how inscrutably he was looking at her. "Why are you sizing me up like that?" she asked.

"I was just wondering why I hadn't recognised what beautiful emerald eyes you have."

"Are you kidding, Skywalker?" she asked almost furiously.

"Not at all. I was serious. Really. You have beautiful eyes, Mara. Has nobody ever told you?"

"Nope. Was it a compliment, or what?"

"I think so."

"Well, I'm not used to compliments." she said nibbling another biscuit.

"But it was nice to hear one, wasn't it?" Luke continued.

"Listen, Jedi, get off my back, will you? OK, you told me a compliment. Anyone could do that! So don't be above yourself!"

"I'm not." he answered, and couldn't resist the temptation, so abruptly kissed the girl. Mara shoved him away.

"How did you dare do that, you boorish farmboy?" she hissed. A wrathful fire was blazing in her eyes. Luke had never seen her so upset before.

"Oh, I'm sorry." he apologized. "I didn't want to kiss you. I just felt I had to."

"Why?"

"No idea." He shook his head. "I don't know. I'm really sorry, Mara." He stood up embarrassed and wanted to go to the window, but unexpectedly Mara gripped his arm and pulled him back. She looked at his sky-blue eyes for a while, then took a deep breath and asked: "Have you ever...?"

Luke gazed at her uncomprehendingly for some seconds, but finally understanding dawned. "Um, not really." he replied blushing. "Being a Jedi Master sometimes means being a monk. And... well, I haven't had the opportunity to do so..."

"Not even with Callista?" she asked incredulously.

Luke shook his head. "No. I guess I respected her too much... and she was afraid, that... but hey, I won't discuss my lovelife or lack thereof with you!"

"Why not? You made me pretty curious, farmboy. I would like to know how the Great Jedi Master managed to keep his innocence for so many years..."

"That's none of your business, Jade." he grumbled.

"Oh, but yes, it's definitely my business, as long as you keep kissing me like that!"

"Listen, Mara, I've already explained that... It was nothing."

"No, Skywalker, it wasn't nothing. It was kind of an outburst of your barely contained desire! Don't deny that!"

"Barely contained desire? For you? You wish!"

"Hey, don't ever talk to me like that if you don't want to die right here and now!"

"...and what if I wanted to die?" he asked.

"What the hell are you talking about? Have you lost all your senses? Why would you want to...?"

"Why? It's easy to answer: because I have nothing. No wife, no children, no life at all. I've already completed the mission I was born to complete: I restored the Jedi order. I'm not needed anymore. Besides Leia and her family, no one would cry for me, no one would miss me."

"Maybe I would." she whispered and stroked his face. At that moment he looked just like a little boy who needed to be held by his mother. He seemed so innocent, so... "Hey, come here, silly boy." she beckoned him closer and hugged him tightly. They held each other for a while, then Mara drew back.

"Need a teacher?" She asked with a kinky smile.

"What?..." he started his question, but was silenced with a soft kiss. At that moment he felt an incredible desire to embrace her and never let her go. And he did so. Mara let him kiss her again and again, relishing all his touches and caresses. While his tongue entered her mouth, he released the fastenings of the blanket that was hiding the beautiful curves of her body. The sight was so overwhelming, that he could not quell his rising urges anymore. He started nibbling on her left ear, then his lips slowly wandered down her neck reaching her right breast. Her nipples hardened at once from the touch of his lips. She sighed with bliss and muttered incomprehensible words into Luke's ears. He didn't take the trouble to try to understand them, because he was quite occupied making himself acquainted with her left breast and caressing her inner thighs. His hands were slowly going upper and upper, finally reaching her wet womanhood. "Oh, Luke." she moaned with pleasure driving her fingers through the man's blond hair.

Mara began caressing his chest, slipping her hands down to his waist, undoing the knot on the blanket that was covering his erect manhood. His very erect manhood. Mara tossed the blanket away, and examined the sight. He indeed had a gorgeous body! If only he had been a bit taller! No matter, his perfect muscles and his long, arousing shaft made up for that. She just couldn't imagine that he had never used that member of him that way before. He could have brought hundreds of women to the heavens with his size... even if size matters not... Mara barely could wait to feel that hard member inside her. She didn't have to wait very long.

As Luke entered her, Mara let out a sigh of bliss, feeling him filling her totally. She felt that she needed to encourage him a bit, so she moved to drive him deeper. Her body easily managed to adjust to his rhythm, while their Force senses mingled with each other. It was wonderful, Mara had never experienced anything like that before. "Don't stop, pleeeeease!" she screamed in complete ecstasy.

"Never, sweetheart" he groaned, than added with a smirk: "'kay, never might be kind of an overstatement, but I'm not ending it... not yet, dear... .noooot yeeeet."

"Glad to hear... oh, that's iiit." she answered, digging her fingers into Luke's back, scratching his skin. He didn't mind, just continued on thrusting harder and stronger, quicker, quicker, quicker...

Minutes passed, the rain ceased, all the lightning diminished, but they didn't know anything about the outside world for a long, long time. It was so exquisite, so unbelievably perfect for both of them, that they hoped it would never come to an end. After almost an hour of loving, they reached the climax together. As Luke exploded within her, his groan of pleasure mingled with Mara's scream of ecstasy.

**************************************************************************

The sunshine came across the window, fondling Mara's face. She opened her eyes, and didn't know where she was and why she was lying in front of a fireplace, wrapped in two blankets. Suddenly she remembered. "Good gracious!" she whispered. "What have I done?!?" She stood up and dressed up as quickly as she could. She was pleased to see that her clothes were as dry as a bone.

She went out. The meteorologist had been right. The weather was really beautiful and warm. Flowers were blooming everywhere and birds were singing in the trees. But Mara didn't care about them. The only thing she could think of was her guilty conscience. Eventually, she had corrupted the esteemed Jedi Master.

Suddenly she heard someone stirring in the bushes. In the next moment Luke appeared with a handful of fruits.

"Good morning, Mar!" he shouted and ran up to the girl. He wanted to kiss her, but Mara took a step backwards.

"What's the matter?" Luke asked. "Oh, I understand! You are hungry! I've brought some apples. Or at least they look like apples. But trust me, they are really delicious."

"No Skywalker, I'm not hungry." she replied, not daring to keep eye-contact with him.

"Mar, what happened?" he asked caressing her red hair.

"What happened?" she shouted tossing his hand away. "How can you ask such a silly question? Huh? You screwed me, that's what happened! Don't tell that it has already escaped your memory!"

"Oh. So you have regretted it, haven't you?" Luke frowned.

"Of course I have. Heck! Let's get it straight, farmboy! We cannot carry on this... this relationship. Oh, my gosh! What am I saying! Relationship! Ok, listen Jedi, there can be nothing between us. Understood?"

"But you can't back out now!" argued Luke, reaching for her hand.

"Why not?" she asked tossing his hands away again.

"Because, Mara, I thought... you loved me." he was starting to feel really helpless, hopeless and frustrated. "We were making love!"

"Oh, how eloquent you are! Making love! No, Skywalker it was not love, only rude, nasty sex! And don't ever think that I love you: I just didn't want you to continue on acting like a pathetic, unfortunate, lost bantha cub! Anyway, I want to get this whole thing out of my mind!"

"As you wish, oh, great Emperor's Hand!" Luke retorted furiously. "Let's imagine that we've done nothing but search for that damned microchip. Okay. We will forget it!"

"Good. Come on, let's go to the ship and fly away from this place! It has too many bad memories for me."

**********************************************************************

As the Lady Luck left the atmosphere of the planet, Luke felt that something was wrong. There was a grave disturbance in the Force.

"Look at that!" exclaimed Mara, pointing her finger at a distant object in space.

"A star destroyer." stated Luke. "Do you think it's hunting for us?"

"Well, Skywalker, if it's hunting for someone, it can be only you, not 'us'."

"But I thought nobody knew where we were going, with the exception of Lando."

"Anyone could have gotten to know it." said Mara. "Well, I think we'd better make a supra-light jump. The sooner the better."

Luke nodded. He pushed some buttons on the console and entered the co-ordinates of Coruscant into the computer.

"We have to wait two minutes until the computer checks the route." he said.

"I wish we could have come here in the Jade's Fire. Lando's Lady Luck is really a nice ship, but too slow. It wasn't made for fighting. and this time I think we could do with a good battleship."

Suddenly the Lady Luck shuddered. "Damn! They're shooting at us!" hissed Mara. "I've told you: they want to catch you!"

"Oh, so you're convinced, that it's all my fault!" retorted Luke, losing his self-control.

"Yes, of course, it's your fault! These cursed imperials put a price on your head quite a long time ago!"

"And what about you?" asked Luke violently. "You have also helped the New Republic several times! Maybe this time they are hunting for YOU!"

"Listen, you..."

Mara couldn't finish the sentence, because another thrust shook the ship.

"We are losing the deflector-shield!" yelled Luke.

"What are we gonna do now?" the woman asked. Luke felt how puzzled she was. "This ship has no weapons we could defend ourselves with."

"Yeah. But maybe those guys in the star destroyer don't know that." mused Luke. "Since Admiral Thrawn died, the imperials have become pretty incompetent, having no one to hold them under control. Maybe they cannot even distinguish a Corellian freighter and an X-wing."

"And what if they can?"

"Then we are going to end up like debris in space."

"Great." grimaced Mara. "What about a full reverse?"

Luke shook his head. "The Lady Luck is not fast enough to be able to escape from a destroyer at sub-light. Our only chance is to make a hyper jump, but we'll have to wait 70 seconds more."

"This wreck cannot bear the shots for another 70 seconds!"

"Well, we still have a chance left." Luke's voice was enigmatic and determined at once.

"What?"

"The Force, of course."

"You think we should use it against a star destroyer? You are not all there!"

"But we must do it, Mara. Together. You know that the Force is omnipresent. We can use it here, in space as well."

"OK, let's give it a try." shrugged Mara, while the missiles shoving the ship started to come more and more frequently.

"No, Mar. Don't try. Do." Luke rectified her words, suddenly taking her left hand in his right one. "Do, Mara."

The girl hesitated for a second, then nodded.

They started to concentrate on the Force, holding each other's hand. Their minds combined, increasing their power... it was like a huge whirlwind sweeping aside everything that came into its way. It twirled, spun, grew greater and greater... and suddenly there was silence.

They opened their eyes, and let out a sigh. They managed it! They parried all the shots of the destroyer, just with the Force. Finally they perceived a blue light beginning to flash on the console. The seventy seconds were over, and the Lady Luck entered hyperspace.

"Oh, at last." Mara sighed and leaned back into the co-pilot's seat. Then she suddenly realised that they were still holding hands. She quickly pulled her hand back and said: "Don't touch me anymore, will you?"

Luke was neither surprised nor angry. He was just sad.

"I didn't want to do anything to you." he replied.

"I hope so, Jedi, I hope so!"

to be continued... Hi, all,

Here is the second installment of Torpedoes.

Disclaimer: the same as in chapter 1, with one exception: I 'borrowed' some parts of a song from Steve Wonder. (I just felt that it was perfect for that particular situation. Well, you'll see...) Before anyone would ask, the poem was also written by me. Sorry for having made Mara go mushy, but when I wrote that scene I told myself: "Hey, Agi, this is your fic, so feel free to write whatever you want to!" - That's how the poem was born. Please forgive me for my poetical deficiencies, but this is the first verse I have ever written in a foreign language. Rating: NC 17

Hope you'll enjoy it!

Torpedoes of passion

Chapter II. Coruscant

Well, we have arrived." Luke said calmly. "Yes." she replied. "At last." They got out of the ship, and Mara wanted to find the Jade's Fire to fly to Sullust, where Talon Karrde and the other smugglers were doing their business at that time. "Mara, wait." said Luke following her. She stopped and turned around. "What do you want?" "I'd like to know whether you were serious yesterday morning or not. I mean, about us." "Of course I was." she answered grimacing. "Is that your last word?" "Yes, it is." "OK. Then we had better not meet any more. Good bye, Mara." "So long, Luke." ************************************************************************************************ Luke couldn't sleep for the last week at all. All his thoughts were of Mara: her smile, her voice, her touch, her skin, her... He jumped out of the bed and raced into the fresher. He badly needed a cold shower. While the droplets of water coursed down his enflamed body, he closed his eyes and stretched out with the Force to find Mara's presence at the other end of the Galaxy. At the moment he found it, he realised that she felt him too, and he was suddenly encountered with barriers that she set up. "Sith, Mara, why are you torturing me?" he thought, as his hands wandered down to his still erect organ. No matter how cold the water was, his desire was too hot to be soothed. He took a deep breath and tried to quell his lust through the Force. Instead, pictures crept into his mind: storm, fire, flames of passion... "Gosh, Mara, how much I wanna screw you right here and now!" Fireplace... blankets tossed away... sighs of pleasure... screams of each other's names... Luke shot off with a cry of Mara's name, then relaxed, and told himself that at least he didn't need the cold shower anymore. ********************************************************************************************* "Captain Solo, sir, could I speak with you, please?" a very anxious Threepio asked. Han stopped cleaning the control panel of the Falcon and turned around. "What's the problem, Goldenrod?" he asked knowing that it never meant anything good when C3PO spoke in that tone. But - when did he NOT speak in that tone? "I've been sent here by Mistress Leia, sir. She would like you to talk to Master Luke. She is worried about him." "Worried? Why? Is he ill? Was he put into a coma again? Has he lost another hand? Hey, speak, Goldenrod!" "No, no and no. Mistress Leia claims that Master Luke seems to be pretty depressed, but he doesn't want to talk about it." "Here we go again..." Han sighed. "Just tell me where he built a hermitage again, and I'll be there in an hour, okay?" "No, captain Solo, he didn't build anything like that. He didn't go away, he just doesn't want to talk to anyone. Princess Leia thought that you might be able to bring him to his senses." "How much of a chance do I have to do so?" Han asked. "Well, according to his mental state, your chances are about 689 to 1. Still, I do think you should try, for Master Luke's sake." "I hate to admit it, but you're right, Goldenrod." Han answered. "I'm gonna talk to him in the evening." *********************************************************************************************

Hey, Luke, is everything okay?" Han asked. "According to an old Corellian saying, you are as sad as a man in love!" "Appropriate saying." answered the Jedi keeping his gaze directed at the sunset. "What? Are you kidding, kid?" "No, I'm not, Han." "You mean, you are really in love?" Luke nodded. "And who's the fortunate one?" "Mara." "Jade?" asked Han. "Wake up, hotshot, you two aren't made for each other! She doesn't return your feelings, does she?" "No, she doesn't. And that's my problem, Han, because I love her! I really do!" "Oh, kid, then I'm sorry for you. But I'm convinced that you can forget her quickly, just like all the other girls. Uh, I think I shouldn't have said that. Sorry, pal." "Never mind, Han. It's not your fault. It's the truth. I've always had bad luck with women." Luke replied with a deep sigh. "Poor kid. But you should at least try to forget her! Ok, I know, don't try... but... hey, just forget her! What about painting the town red tonight?" Han winked. "Just you, me, a good Corellian whisky, and no evil women to break your heart!" "Thanks, Han, but I don't think it would help if I got drunk. I hate hangovers, you know, and... it's not so simple, to be settled by a spree." "Why not? You have always managed to get over those chicks... why wouldn't you be able to forget this Jade woman? Hey, kid, I know that she's gorgeous, I'd be the last to deny that, but... she's just a heartless little bimbo. I hope there hasn't been anything between you... I mean... that way. But I guess that possibility is out of the question." "Out of the question? Why?" Luke asked hoarsely. "Well, kid, 'cause you're not a guy like that." "Like what?" "Oh, you know..." "You mean, you think I'm a holy one? I have to disappoint you, Han. I'm not." "What do you mean by that?" Luke didn't answer at once. He looked at the last rays of the sun, until they totally disappeared. "I've slept with her, Han." "Oh..." was all Han could add. They both looked at the sunset for a while in complete silence. Finally Solo spoke up: "And was it worth it, kid?" "Huh?" "Is she any good?" "Um, yes, I guess." a small smile appeared on Luke's face. He added in thought: "The best I've ever had." "What are you going to do now? Go after her?" "No. I've tried to make her stay, but she didn't want to. She has made her choice. If she doesn't love me, I won't make a fool of myself by courting her. I'm going to go back to Yavin 4. Work will help me forget her." "When are you going to leave Coruscant?" "Tomorrow." ***********************************************************************************************

Hyperspace - still in GFFA - where else ?

"Torturing you? I'm not, silly Jedi." Mara thought and closed Luke's presence out of her mind. "You are doing that to me! Sith! How in the worlds are you able to haunt me in my dreams, appear in all my thoughts... what the hell should I do to get you out of my mind?"

That night she dreamed of him again... about their second lovemaking in the cottage.

"Hm, not bad for a beginner." Mara chuckled as he put his arms around her and softly caressed her cheek. His face was so peaceful, his sapphire eyes as deep blue as the clearest mountain lakes. An old poem came to Mara's thoughts, a short verse she heard once, a long time ago.

"What are you thinking of?" he asked her.

"About a piece of poetry. Would you like to hear it?"

"Sure, I like literature." he answered.

"Well, here we go: When I look into your eyes, I see golden rays of sun Glittering on snow and ice, Bringing me all joys and fun.

When I feel your lips on mine, I would like to dance and sing, You are moonlight, you're sunshine, You make my spirit take wing.

Please, just hold me close and tight, Please, just take over the lead Over my life, be the light, Your love is all that I need.

Like it? I think it's mushy, but..."

"It's beautiful." he stated, then pressed his lips tightly to hers. "So, now you want to dance and sing?"

"No way." she whispered. "I want you to do it... once more..."

"Only once?" he smiled and buried his face into her neck, slowly making his way down to her breasts, continuing it until he reached her womanhood. He planted small kisses on her redgold curls, teasing her soft skin until she moaned with pleasure.

"Oh, Luuuuuke!" she screamed, then added in thought: "Do all Jedi Masters do that sort of thing? Aren't they supposed to behave a bit more chaste?"

"Don't know. Never had the opportunity to ask one." he sent back while licking and sucking her clit.

"Ooooh... you do have a talented tongue, Skywalker... how in the worlds do you know such things?" she sighed without expecting an answer, then abruptly shifted positions so that she got over him, "Now it's my turn!"

"But Mara..." Luke started protesting, only to be silenced by the feeling of something soft, warm and wet on the tip of his manhood. "Oh, you little..."

"Shut up, Skywalker!" she sent back, never stopping her explorations of his most private member.

"Enough of this!" he yelled after a minute and pulled Mara a bit higher in order to access her better, and joined his body to hers with a powerful thrust. She sat straddling on him, driving him deeper and deeper with every move. They reached an explosive climax together, then their bodies relaxed and they fell asleep in each other's arms.

"No! Not this dream again!" Mara awoke with a start, covered with sweat. "I should have killed that guy when I had the opportunity to do so! Why didn't I just let him die of his misery? Nah! Me and my good heart!" she buried her face into her palms. "I never used to have a good heart, did I?" she wondered. "What the hell got over me?"

************************************************************************************************

Happy birthday, Aves!" the smugglers shouted in unison.

"Thanks, everyone." Aves replied with a huge smile. "Now, let's see that birthday-cake!"

"Out of the way, please!" yelled Ghent, who brought the cake into the room.

"Wow, that looks excellent!" Aves stated admiringly. "I have to thank the chef."

"It was not the chef who made this cake, my friend." Karrde interrupted. "It was our computer-specialist himself."

"Wow, really? I would have never thought that you had talent in such things, Ghent!" commented Aves. Ghent smiled sheepishly, then withdrew into the background when the real celebration started.

"A toast to our friend!" Karrde said aloud. Everyone drank their champagne then started to dance. Mara didn't want to mingle with the people cheering and fooling around. She just wasn't in the mood to do so.

"Hey, Mara, would you like to dance?" Karrde asked her.

"No, thanks. I'm tired. Sorry."

"It's a pity that you don't wanna dance. This song is a special one. Beautiful, isn't it?"

"It's mushy." Mara grimaced as Karrde left her and asked Faughn to dance with him.

Baby, I see your future and it's tied to mine I look in your eyes and see you searching for a sign

"Yuck, terrible! How can people like things like that? No one can tell me that he sees my future - not even a Jedi - and my future is tied to no one's!" she thought.

True to your heart You must be true to your heart That's when the heavens will part And baby, shower you with my love Open your eyes Your heart can tell you no lies And when you're true to your heart I know it's gonna lead You straight to me

"Damn, Skywalker, why do you always have to creep into my mind? Even this song reminds me of you!"

Why second-guess what feels so right Just trust your heart And you'll see the light

"Feels so right? It shouldn't have felt so right! It never should have happened! Eh, what the hell am I looking for here? I'd better go up into my room and let the mob have fun." Karrde saw Mara leaving and wondered what got into her. She had always like parties before. What was the matter with her?

I'm worried about Mara." Faughn said to Karrde. "She is hardly ever speaking. Do you think, she is ill?"

"I don't know." replied the man. "But she does her duties better than ever, so it doesn't bother me, if she is a bit silent. If it doesn't affect her achievements adversely, I don't care about it. But if you think, just try to sound her out a bit."

"I'm not sure she will say anything to me. But you're right. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'll try to get to know her secret."

************************************************************************************************

Mara woke up with a strange feeling. It was a very strange feeling, indeed, and it made her run into the refresher.

"Damn, it's already the second day, I have this illness, or whatever it is." she thought. "What in the galaxy happened to me? What have I eaten at all? Maybe that birthday-cake of Aves is to be blamed. I'll tell Karrde never to let Ghent bake cakes again." then she shook her head. "That cake was really delicious, there could be nothing wrong with it, because then the other members of the crew would be sick too. But they aren't. Then. if it's not indigestion, what could it be? What?" she cast a glance at the mirror hanging over the basin. She looked terrible. She was so deadly pale, that she became frightened of herself. Another wave of sickness came over her. She felt dizzy and had to clutch at the basin, not to have a fall. Mara started to control her body through the Force, and at that very moment she managed to understand everything. "Oh, no! Not that!" she whispered and ran back into the room, dropping herself on the bed.

Mara started to sob. "Damn, Jedi, I was determined to forget you, but how in the world could I do that now?" Her tears ceased, and she sat up suddenly. "I will forget you, I swear I will!" she said to herself with clenched teeth. "I just have to ask a doctor to terminate it.... Oh, no, no, I can't!" she began to cry again. "I cannot do that! I haven't got the right to kill him! Not even if he's yours, Skywalker."

Abruptly there was a knock on the door. "Who's there?" asked Mara with trembling voice.

"It's me, Faughn! May I come in?"

"Oh, just wait a minute!" answered Mara wiping her tears away, then went to the door and opened it. Faughn came in eyeing the other woman.

"You should go to see a doctor." she said to Mara. "I'm sure that Karrde will let you go, if it regards your health. Even if he doesn't want to show it, he cares for you."

"Does he?" murmured Mara. "I don't intend to go anywhere. I'm just fine."

"Don't give me that bullshit! I know that something is wrong with you! You don't speak, don't eat, look as white as a sheet, and you have even cried. You couldn't conceal it, it's written on your face! Mara, you have to understand that I'm worried about you. We are friends, aren't we? So go on! Get it off your chest! Maybe I can help you somehow."

Mara shook her head. "No one can help me."

"What's the problem, Mara?" asked the elder woman.

"I played with the fire and it burnt me. That's all I can say."

"Fire? That means problems with your lovelife."

"Lovelife? I don't have a lovelife!"

"Then that's your problem! You have a crush on somebody, but he ignores you, right?"

"No, if only he had ignored me! But no, he just wouldn't!"

"Then what did he do?" Faugh asked only suspecting who Mara was talking about.

"What? He fired his proton torpedoes, and one of them found its target..." she shrugged " as usual."

"Usual?" the older woman contemplated Mara's worlds. "I'm not sure that I got it, but if I'm right, then you are pregnant with Calrissian's child."

Mara started laughing. "Oh, no, no! First, Calrissian used concussion missiles, not proton torps, second, Lando is not my type."

"Another pilot? Well, let's see... Wedge? No, he wouldn't be unfaithful to Iella. Corran? No, Booster would kill him if he betrayed his daughter's love... Tycho? Too much in love with Winter. Hopefully it wasn't one of Karrde's people, was it?"

Mara just shook her head, starting to enjoy the quiz. "No, no... none of them."

"Do I know him?"

"Not in person, but you've heard about him. I guess everyone has."

"Uh, so he's kind of a headhoncho?"

"Kind of..."

"A celebrity with proton torpedoes... hm, let's see... I could think of one... Skywalker?... no, that's nonsense!"

"Why?"

"Because he's an honourable man. Mr. Holiness cannot be the seducer!"

"Seducer? Who told you that he seduced me? It was me who seduced him, I guess."

"Were you?"

"Well... it was me, yes. But...uh, I mean... who could resist that meaningful look of his?"

"Ah, so you admit that you're taken with his skyblue eyes, huh?"

Mara shrugged. "Could be. But it's not only the colour of his eyes... his whole personality... um, it's somehow... charismatic, I think."

"Jedi are said to be charismatic." Faughn nodded. "And... what are you planning to do now? Get rid of it?"

"No!!! Definitely not! Once I used to be an assassin, a murderer, but I would never kill my own baby!"

"Then you are going to give birth to the little bastard of Skywalker. Interesting."

"Don't ever dare call my son a bastard if you don't want me to kill you! Understood?"

"Sure. Just one more question: do you love Skywalker?"

"No, I don't. Should I?"

"But then... why have you slept with him?"

"It was just a weakness, a fervor of the moment."

"And does he love you?"

"How in the hell could I know that?" sighed Mara. "But... well, maybe he does. I felt his disappointment when I told him that I wanted to forget everything that had happened between us."

"And have you managed to forget it?"

"Not really." she shook her head. "Trying to forget someone yet dreaming of him every night means, that... Oh, sithspawn! That's terrible! I hate him, hate him, hate him! I should have killed him long ago!"

"Well, Mara, it's crystal clear." the elder woman stated calmly. "You can be angry about it, you can deny it, but it won't change your feelings for him. Oh, yes," she smiled "you can also make a wry face and take me for a fool, but you still love that man with all your heart. Yes, you do."

Mara turned red and heaved a deep sigh. "Do you think I really love him? Sith, what should I do now?"

"Go, and tell him!"

to be continued...

Hello, everyone, and happy Valentine's day!

Here's the final chapter of my fic. I know, I know, it was short... but hey, I couldn't - and didn't want to - write a novel, just a short story. So for the time being be satisfied with this one. (But later on you can count on me sending new - and longer - fics. I have two new ones, they just need a beta to correct the grammatic mistakes in them. Should anyone feel like reading them through for me and correcting my mistakes, please let me know.)

Disclaimer: all characters belong to Mr. Lucas, Mr. Zahn and Mr. Anderson. I just borrowed them and played a bit with them.

You'll see that there's a scene that has something in common with a certain scene in Darksaber. (Don't get mad at me, I just didn't have a better idea.)

Rating: this chapter is a simple G

Well, have fun!

Torpedoes of passion

Chapter III.

Yavin 4

The Jade's Fire entered the atmosphere of the Yavin 4. Mara piloted her spaceship to the landing platform. She got out of the ship and walked into the Jedi Temple. She was surprised to see that nobody was there. Suddenly Mara felt some stirring in the Force. Something was wrong. Terribly wrong. The large halls of the Jedi Academy were utterly deserted. In that dead silence one could have heard even the buzzing of a fly. But there was no noise at all. Mara's steps produced a pattering sound on the tile floor. The silence was frightening. Her heart started to beat quicker.

Unexpectedly she heard something. It was not a real, audible voice, it was a sensed one. She sensed it via the Force. It was a cry. No, not only one. Several. Mara was sure that these cries were coming from the forest. She didn't know what was going on, but Luke and his students were in danger. She was convinced about it. She closed her eyes concentrating on the Force. As the events appeared for her in a vision, she stated in herself, that clairvoyance could be a very useful thing to have. She saw a middle-aged but still beautiful woman sitting in the captain's chair of a stardestroyer. It was Admiral Daala, the woman, who had given the order for the destruction of the Jedi Academy a few years before. She was laughing maliciously. In the next picture of her vision, Mara saw a dozen awesome walkers, that had been used by imperial troops on Endor. But this time these machines were not on Endor, but on Yavin 4. Finally Mara could see some of the pupils of the Academy trying to stop those enormous machines that were pressing forward among the bushes, shooting on the Jedi apprentices. The vision disappeared. Mara understood everything. It happened again. Admiral Daala had brought here those AT-STs on her new stardestroyer - for the previous one, the Night Hammer had been blown up by Callista, Luke's former love. After having put down those metal-monsters on the moon, Admiral Daala had left. "Maybe she was afraid of losing her ship again." sneered Mara. "Well, Luke and the students are having difficulties with these machines, that much is clear. I should help them somehow. I have to try it. No, Sith, no! 'Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.' Oh, it's really easy to say it, but not so simple to do it! But I will do it. I will." Mara concentrated on the Force once again. She had always been able to communicate with Luke through the Force. She hoped she would manage to get in contact with him. "Luke? Luke!"

************************************************************************** "

Kyp, direct your lightsaber on their legs and cut the joints!" Luke shouted averting the missiles of the walkers with his lightsaber. Suddenly he heard someone calling his name. It was not a real voice that everyone could hear. No. It was a voice that only he could hear. "Mara? Is that you?" he asked skeptically. "What are you doing here?" "Just dropped in, Skywalker. Need some help?" "It would be fine. Where are you at the moment?" "At the Academy. How far away are you from here?" Luke parried some shots again. "About 4.5-5 miles from the Temple." he replied. "In which direction?" "North-west. Are you coming here, or what?" "Yeah. What else could I do? Of course I'm coming. I'll be there in ten minutes with a speeder bike." "Thanks, Mar."

************************************************************************

The battle got more and more fervent every passing minute. The Jedi-apprentices started to become exhausted. They managed to blow up four of the metal-monsters, and put two others out of order. But there were still six of them. "Master Skywalker, what are we gonna do now?" asked Tionne, the assistant teacher of the Academy. "We should try joining our Forces and pushing those machines to each other, this way blowing them up." answered Luke. "Good idea, Skywalker." Mara added, as she finally reached them. "Glad to see you again, Mara." smiled Tionne. "We need all hands." "Yep, already noticed that." muttered Mara. "So, what's the big plan?" asked Kyp. Luke explained his plan to the others. They knew that the execution of the plan would be a bit exerting and risky, but they hoped they could cope with it. They all began to concentrate on the Force at once. Their mind absorbed in a huge whirl, reaching out for the Force. In their mind's eye they all saw the picture of the six walkers, that were attacking them without stopping. Slowly they started to push them together. Luke was concentrating so much, that at first he didn't even realise that Mara had grasped his hand. While the Force penetrated their bodies and souls, he noticed something strange about the girl standing next to him... something very strange...

Still giving all their minds to the Force, they could avert all the shots with their light-sabers, pressing their metal opponents together at the same time. Finally they heard a couple of explosions, and knew that the danger was over. They all opened their eyes heaving a sigh of relief. "Well, that damned Daala will be surprised to see that we have ruined her nice little toys." remarked Kyp Durron. "Again." he added smirking. "Yes, and I hope, she won't be so silly to try it once more." stated Tionne. "Shall we go back to the Great Temple, Master Skywalker?" "Yes... let's... go." mumbled Luke in a faint voice, then suddenly collapsed. "Luke!" shouted Mara kneeling down to him, embracing his body. "What... oh, no! He's seriously hurt!"

There was a deep and wide wound on his left side, close by his heart. It was bleeding irresistibly. He must have gotten injured even before Mara arrived, but he was so occupied with defending his pupils that he totally ignored his wound. And now, he was dying. Mara desperately pressed her fingers on the injury, trying to stop the bleeding, to no avail. "Master Skywalker!" whispered Streen, the oldest of his disciples. Then he turned to Tionne: "Is he gonna die?" "I don't know." the woman replied kneeling by Luke, trying to help Mara. "His wound is quite big, but if he doesn't lose too much blood, he has some chance to survive. If only Cilghal was here now!" "Can we help somehow?" asked Kirana Ti, and came closer, followed by Kam Solusar, who was also terribly worried about their master. Mara was so anxious about losing him, that she didn't even hear the words of the others. She was just looking at Luke's pale face, making an effort to get in mental contact with him. She was sure that Luke couldn't understand her words with his ears, but with his mind maybe he could. While Tionne was bandaging the wound, Mara started to caress Luke's face speaking to him through the Force. *Luke! Luke? Can you hear me? Please, just give me a sign!* Nothing happened. Although the bleeding ceased, he didn't come round. He was still in danger of dying of his injuries. *I need you!* Mara continued. *I love you! Yes, I really do! I was such a fool that I didn't dare admit it, but now I have the courage to declare my love to you! That's why I've come back. So please, stay with me! Do you hear? If you dare die, I'll kill you!* Luke didn't respond to Mara's desperate words. He was just lying stock still in her arms. He looked as if he was already dead. Mara was holding his left hand in her right one, sensing how cold it was. Tears were flowing from her eyes mingling with the blood she had smudged herself with. The apprentices seemed to be waiting for the Master to become one with the Force and fade away. The evening glow painted the trees and bushes blood-red, then the sun disappeared behind the horizon. They didn't even notice when it suddenly grew dark. It seemed as though nature also went into mourning. This painful silence was suddenly interrupted by a trembling voice: "Why is everyone so sad?" "Luke!" shouted Mara. "Master Skywalker!" exclaimed the others. "Oh, Luke, are you okay?" asked the girl crying and laughing at once. "Oh, dear, oh, dear..." she sobbed, pressing her lips on Luke's mouth. "Don't worry, Mar. I. don't intend to die. Not at all. I musn't die... 'cause... I want to see him grow up." "What?" asked the girl. "How do you know that?" "Oh, you little goose, it was clear as crystal... when we were using the Force here, in the forest... I sensed a small presence in you." he smiled. "And I can tell, that this is... the most beautiful day in my life." he lost his consciousness again. "Luke?" whispered Mara. "Don't worry." said Tionne. "He's gonna recover."

***********************************************************************

They were standing on the terrace of the Great Temple, hand in hand looking at the forest, listening to the silence, enjoying the peace. "I can't believe that in a week we'll be married." Luke said. "Yes." replied Mara smiling. "I can imagine how surprised Han and Leia must have been when you told them the news on the comm-unit." "Well, I think Han wasn't surprised at all." "Why not? What had you told him?" "Everything." "What?" shouted Mara with an indignant voice. "How did you dare, you... you..." "Boorish farmboy." Luke completed the sentence, abruptly kissing his fianc? Mara wanted to resist, but her wrath disappeared and she abandoned herself to the passion that overwhelmed her. She returned his kisses, pulling down the zipper on his shirt, caressing his chest. "Mar, I really don't want to interrupt you, but I think we'd better go in and continue it there." "Oh" sighed Mara turning red. "I have totally forgotten that anyone could see us here." "Yeah, I have noticed that." chuckled Luke and kissed her neck. "Let's go in." "Easy does it!" answered Mara, gently thrusting him from herself. "I'm not sure that it won't do harm to you! You almost died, and you must be still very, very weak, you poor little invalid." "Oh, just don't be anxious about my health." Luke replied with a huge smile. "I won't overdo it. But if you think, we can wait one more week, until our wedding-night." "No, hotshot," she answered grinning, "I can't wait any longer."
